is it normal to be American but have a Australian accent and have no family members that was in australia cause I have one but have no family member with the genes of Australia
^unless you consistently talk to people with Australian accents. You tend to mimic those around you so if you have friends with Aussie accents you may have picked it up there. Else you *think* you have an aussie accent but don't. There are several types ranging from British/Aussie like mine, Stereotypical Aussie, Bogan, etc.
well i was born in alaska, but moved to australia when i was 9. lost my american accent very quickly and took on an australian one. but, lately people have been telling me that i have a southern accent. maybe its because i really like it. australians tell me i sound american, yet americans tell me i sound australian.
Maybe it’s magic or a kangaroo slapped your face messing up your vocal cords and you then got an Australian accent. Guessing...
