Should I try giving anime a shot? The VERDICT

This was a bad place to ask, due to extreme bias.

If you like foreign films, movies, and want to see a different culture, go ahead. Ignore all the ideas the otaku community puts down, watch it for what it is, with a "this is just a foreign television show and nothing else" and you'll enjoy it more. Just remember, don't become a "weeaboo". The Europeans make awesome films, and Americans are also awesome.

 

Dont do something that your not comfortable with, you dont have to watch anime just cause others are watching it. Be yourself, i did that mistake when I threw myself into the AoT fandom (sorry vaicun :c)

But its your choice :)

Welp. Everything is worth a shot, I guess. Also, quite a few of my IRL friends recommended it. I guess it's not a peer pressure situation (I don't give into those), but a curiosity. Here goes...

Fk ye you should. its better than teen wolf..JK but you really should watch anime. i didn't really like it at first, because I was a small otaku. But i started to enjoy it. if u don't, ill die. U should care if i die.

Well. I watched the first few episodes of Soul Eater.
My thoughts:
-overly raunchy
-random
-overexaggerated everything
-erratic
-weird
-completely different than anything else
-strange concepts and ideas
-AND PRETTY FREAKING GOOD

Well. Though I did end up loving it, my interest radar is more like Sera's. I like/love it, but it's nothing compared to Roy and Link and Nintendo. And Sera's main interest: do I even have to explain?

And realizations were made:
-I see why Athens had Soul as his avatar
-I see why BlueChuckian had Black Star as his avatar
-I see why Yomc had DtK as his avatar, and their personalities can match up (in the good way).
