    What I mean is will kis be disabled for the first 1 week - 1 month so players can get set up without other players just claiming their Protection 4 kits as soon as they log in after the reset.

    I know what you mean, but it is useless. You still need god apples, potions, god sword, save up on enderpearls, find an income, build a base. It will take a while, that should be the least of your worries during the first week.
