Official vs. Unofficial: Messages from Staff.

Well, anyone not wearing a staff tag caught using this to try to sound official gets a ban on the spot. I don't care if it was a joke.

 

Just asking, Lila's been demoted temporarily.
Is she still allowed to do the official message thing, or will she get in trouble for that, @RobyNub1337?
Kinda curious, is all.

 

She's still able to communicate as staff and she's still able to answer questions.

She can't do /warn, either here nor ingame, and she has zero actual authority. In those respects she's just like a regular player.

So she isn't demoted, just on suspension. Bit of a difference. :)

 

This system should work out well and be helpful.
However, what if two staff make posts with the official staff tag, but the information in each post contradict each other? (this could be an effect of a misunderstanding of information given by higher ranks) Also, will staff be punished if this is abused (ex. Attempting to make something of opinion sound official by using the staff tag) and how so?

 

Yeah if they just up and start using it to treat their personal opinion as fact, they'll get told to stop.

Also, if inconsistancies happen, a post from higher up straightening it out will be made.

Terminating this system until I get something a bit more official looking together. Hoping to have an actual system in server/forums that marks staff messages more clearly.
