Other Games [No Wi-Fi for Nintendo] Has Nintendo shut down?

Here is my response:

 

Guys. Seriously? They don't want money. They're developing Super Smash Bros. 4 for the 3Ds and the Wii U. If you want to play those online, get them. The 3ds is coming out this summer while wii u is this Winter.
They're not money hoarders either. What Nintendo likes to do is take a leap to new things, take risks and all that stuff. And the risk they took was to cancel the DW and Wii Wifi. If they didn't, then there WOULDN'T be a Nintendo anymore.
They use the money for new technology for new and better games with amazing graphics and high fps like 60 fps. You wanted an answer, there ya go.

Basically, what Nintendo did, is shut down all Wi-fi gaming capabilities on the DS and Wii consoles, so you can't play Online games, but you can play Singleplayer and normal Multiplayer. They did this so they could get more money off the new consoles, the 3DS/2DS and Wii U. This was like this since the 20th of May.

 

Er, what? I don't see Nintendo is forcing people to buy the new consoles. Like what @Chrysaor said, they probably did it because they were outdated and unstable. You aren't forced to buy a Wii U/3DS because the Wi-Fi was shut down for the Wii/DS. You make your own decisions, not Nintendo. I think the reason why you think they did it for money is because you're upset.

im so just aahh so special right now i have the classic 2007 wii :DD WITH completed super smash bros brawl on it.. THE ORIGINAL with the original controllers, no will motion sensors, no red wii, white wii and the classic white wii controllers.. man i remember i grew up with nintendo this thread is bringing the nostalgia back!! Also original mario kart (2star player) and the wi wheel :D i also used to have the ipad 1st generations but i have no idea where it is my stepmom pput it somewhere ever since i updated.. but since apple didnt support the ipad 1 anymore, i had the classic youtube and apps that werent in the app store anymore like ttr(lvl 63 and 3rd on a leaderboard) and yeah i could still watch unremoved videoes and movies on youtube it was the life!!

Wait, I restarted my Pokemon Platinum profile to get a better competitive team for nothing!? FUUUUUUU at least my sis still gets rekt.

 

Nintendo shut down their online services for Wii and DS, as their focus is now on Wii U and 3DS
