New server host!

250ms is still abnormal and could still be a problem on your side.

 

250 is not very good anyway. Your internet may not be good. That combined with the host settling in will give you a pretty high ping.

 

Paarth get pings like this (250) too, so it is acceptable, But several thousands of milliseconds of Ping is not.
We get that ping because we live very far from Canada.

 

Well then Paarth is not having good connection either. That doesn't strengthen your claim at all.

 

I know. As what I said, that is because I live far from where the server located. But the weird thing is after the host is switched everything went wrong. I will try today and see if it is better. I hope it will be cuz I really like to play here. :)

 

The host switches locations, so yes, your ping is gonna change.
lucky for me cause' I think It's closer to me than the old one. \o/

 

Well, the previous host was situated in Texas, if I remember.
The new host is in Quebec, Canada according to a DNS lookup and geolocation.
There isn't that much difference in distance to cause such a substantial latency issue to give the extreme ping you're getting.
If you were playing fine with low ping on the previous host, then it must be something to do with the new host.

OVH is pretty shit anyway.

 

Yesterday, I did a tracert before playing. After analyzing it I thought "oh, that seems to be not good." Then I begin to lag, the heaviest lag I have ever encountered. Frequent timeouts were happening.

Yes I agree. OVH is very bad.

 

Idk It's different for everybody. I'm just saying what I've been experiencing.

 

10/10 would bang again.

 

The server will be updated to 1.8 when all the plugins are(Parkour, Plots, Factions, iconomy, ect.

help please i have a faction in peaceful survival and i claimed some land with /f autoclaim and now where ever i walk it says "you have already claimed this land" how do i get rid of it with out getting rid of my claimed land

@ItsHarry if you don't mind me asking, why do you choose to use just regular server hosts instead of minecraft dedicated server hosts?

 

Yea why don't you just get one really good one because where i live i get 256ms
