Name changes

    Hello everybody,

    As most of you know, Mojang will be releasing name-changing on the 4th of February, which will allow players to change their username once per month.

    We are happy to announce that the ItsJerryAndHarry server should be mostly compatible with name changing, with the exception of certain features in SkyBlock. This means that if you do decide to change your name, any purchased ranks, statistics, items, money, etc should all still be available on your account.

    Name changing also works in SkyBlock, but only for the owner of the island. Any members added to your island are currently not updated upon a name change. A temporary work-around is to simply re-add any members of your island who have changed their name. We are working on releasing a fix as soon as possible.

    As usual, if you find any bugs concerning name changing, please report them in the 'Report Bugs' section on the forums.

    Currently known caveats:
    • SkyBlock - Members of islands are not updated after name change. Temporary workaround is to manually remove old members and add their new names.

    I guess this goes hand in hand with what Harry said, but for those of you who don't know, after 37 days (you have to wait 30 days to change your name, so this makes it so after you can change it again you have a week to change it back if you so wish), somebody can take the name you USED to have, so to avoid anything happening to your island, after you re-add your friends who changed their names, I would suggest also removing their old name, in case somebody decides to make that their name, so they can't build on your island too. :p

    Thanks for going through all that trouble with updating all the individual servers. I don't think I'll be using the feature myself, but I know many others will.
