Chapter 12 Almost three weeks later, the survivors remained hidden in the jungle. Spyke had whipped up ideas of a new communications address, using a code similar to binary but uses the digits 0, 2, and 9 to confuse any hacker in their systems. However, she knew that the invaders would figure it out, so she had backup ideas. The communications system worked fine for the group. When it already functioned to optimal levels, Dao sent Wiki and Joey to observe the server. It was a dangerous task. Athens, Yomc, and Rockor were scouting the area immediately outside the hidden cabin. They had their weapons mostly for defensive measures. Athens had a wooden contraption. It looked like a small antenna. The trio was tasked with something vital for a pair and the cabin team. "Do you think that it's okay setting up a hidden port here?" Athens pointed to a tall tree. "Maybe." Rockor said, looking up. Athens climbed on the vines to ascend the tree. He hooked one hand around a branch for support as he fumbled for the wood antenna. He took out a knife and slashed at some vines to get makeshift rope to tie around the antenna. He tied at least ten vines to hide most of the antenna, camouflaging it well. "Spyke, hear us?" Yomc fiddled with his earpiece. "I can. DWG, can you hear them?" Spyke turned to the mod. The mod put up a thumbs up and returned to adjusting the sound system to optimal quality. "Good. We found a tall tree this time, it wouldn't be seen." "Excellent." Dao commented. "Say I'm a fan if you hear me." "Uhm... you're a fan...?" "Suits well. Wiki, Joey. Better?" "Better. Some noise is gone." Wiki whispered. "Later." Wiki and Joey eyed at each other. The former was on a corner in an intersection, waiting for the bus. The latter casually walked around BuildIt's new district. "It has been a while." Wiki 'told himself', letting the people left at the cabin hear his words. Spyke didn't have a camera because she thought it might add to the chance of discovery. The whole server had changed. All minigames were closed. Survival was closed again. The people were forced in a curfew. Some were made to work in Survival, but no one made it out. Wiki was handed a newspaper, and he read something about an escape attempt, but the workers were killed. What was worse that the population was drastically different than before. The population was halved. Almost all troops and cadets in the defense department died and never respawned. Almost every rulebreaker was rounded up and taken to somewhere. "Horrifying." Wiki commented silently, leafing through the periodical. He'd have to report back to cabin later. Joey crossed a street, avoiding eye contact with the same black-uniformed men. They now had bigger guns with glowing yellow barrels. He just shrugged with hidden horror and briskly walked into another crowded bus. He could see everyone terrified of the new government, more terrified than before. But, some were still brave, however... "This is worse than the King's!" A player shouted at a soldier on the same bus. "The minigames are closed! You're not letting us have fun!" The soldier was irritated, but calm. The majority of the bus passengers shivered in the imminent doom the player was about to face. But he stood in his ground, unyielding. "We all know what happens to those who disagree with the Corporation's interests." 'Wait. Corporation?' Joey wondered. 'So they must be the invaders.' "Yes, I know." The complainer rooted his feet on the ground. "Exterminate me if you want, but this server is going to be free in one point." "If you wish." The soldier unholstered his gun that looks more like a water pistol but with the menacing yellow barrel. He pulled the trigger. Next thing they saw was a yellow sphere shrinking to a zero radius. "Anyone still disagrees with the Corporation?" No one dared to reply. Joey was thinking, 'Oh yes, there are still around thirty guys who disagree.' "You are all required to follow the Corporation's wishes. They now control your lives with absolute power. They will destroy their problems if they see the need to. Good day." The soldier exited the bus, leaving Joey stunned. The people back at the cabin heard the speech clearly, thanks to Athens, Yomc, and Rockor. The signal became clear enough for Spyke to record and edit out the background noise. She replayed it for Dao. "So, these people are a group. Not to mention, it's a totalitarian kind of government, where the solution is always force, and there's a ruling group." Dao analyzed. "Wiki, Joey. Be careful." "Okay..." Wiki pretended to be reading his newspaper when a soldier walked by him. He even adjusted his Adrien Brody disguise glasses as if he needed to refocus on the print. He read further. There was a lot of pages dedicated on pictures of the escaped outlaws. But not just pictures. There was a reward if alive, and an even higher reward if dead with head preserved on ice. It truly made Wiki reel back that his beautiful head was amounted with a 3M farnds* cash. Dao had the highest, amounting to nearly 1 billion farnds, much to Wiki's wtf reaction. "In the name of Adrien Brody..." he murmured as he went on the bus going to the Creative District. Joey disembarked his crowded and uncomfortable bus. He hopped around just to realize he was dangerously close to Survival. "Yo, I'm at Survival." Joey did his best to whisper the softest where the volume was audible enough. "What do you see?" Spyke asked, listening intently with recorder at the ready. "Nothing." He said. "Just... a lot of guards. And... a car going inside." Joey looked harder at the white vehicle. The plate number was CORP05. He briefly wondered about the relevance of the number, but his circumspection was cut short by an observation of all the soldiers in his range of sight. He could see almost every trooper stiffened and saluted, followed by the kowtow of the civilians. One player was kind enough to yank Joey down for the latter's life. "What's happening?" Joey asked the other person. "People died when they did not bow. We have to if you value your life." "Thanks... I guess." "I know who you are, Joey." He surprised the scout. "You are all over the news. All of them are. They're going to kill you if you let them see who you really are." The kowtow was finally done. Joey wiped the dust off his forehead and knees, and then threw a confused stare. "What?" "Just, mingle with a lot of people. They won't see you immediately. Move a lot. Do not be alone. Go woth a crowd. You're the only hope." Without even waiting for Joey's next question, the player hurried away, and then went to a seed store. "Did I understand that?" Joey asked himself and the cabin team. "Something's off, I don't know what, but something's off." Radeon spoke, looking around. "Hey, where's Roc?" "Must be out with Map, Claire, and Shadow." Hubble replied. "Two of my Meatballs are there. One is a god and the other is a swordsman. Map's a mop that bashes heads. They'll be alright." "Wait, since when are they gone?" By now, Bunnie was thinking of Claire's words from last week. "Please understand. We're going to find out where they have gone." "I know, Claire, but why leave me here?" "For all of your protection. Take care of him. And Hubble. And Demon. And Dao. Watch out for Dao." "When will you go?" "Next week." "BUNNIE!" Radeon jerked her back to reality. "You okay?" "Yeah. Just thinking about what Joey's 'friend' meant." Bunnie lied swiftly. "Okay. You have any idea where Claire is?" 'Oh crap', she thought. "She told me she was out to hunt some deer." "Food." John muttered, polishing his crossbow that shoots three arrows per shot. "I miss our friends." "We all do, John. You're not alone." /**/ PS: *I am completely an idiot for combining the words "fart" and "pounds" for the currency of the server. The head preserved in ice was inspired by a Facebook post about an effective president. Strict and demanding, because the pic said that if the criminal's head was preserved in ice in a cooler would add a million pesos in reward. Harsh, but freakishly effective. Comments?
Happy birthday Demon, and welp, I double post again. Apologies. Notify me of spelling errors, please. Chapter 13 In an unknown place... "Operations start in five minutes, Commander Reetu." A major said. Commander Reetu looked at the lower ranking official with a scrutinizing glare. The commander was wearing a long sleeved black coat. His sleeves bore the insignia of the Corporation, a hybrid between a dove and an eagle enclosed in a circle. His face was like a statue, expression never changing. "The generators are activated." Another soldier notified. "Power systems are all functional." "Coordinates coded." "Failsafes running." "I see all is set." Another commander entered the control center, wearing the same uniform Reetu wore. "Rieuan. What a surprise." Reetu acknowledged Rieuan's arrival. The others bowed to the newcomer. "I just arrived, Reetu." Rieuan chuckled. "I'm always like this." The former scoffed. "Of course you are." Rieuan turned to the engineers and soldiers working on the panels. "Is it in condition?" "Yes. By the way, Rieuan, Aihow already equipped our army with the latest tech." "Oh? Since when? What does it do?" "I'm surprised you don't know about the Numeric Project." Reetu extracted a pair of goggles from his coat pocket and waved it in front of Rieuan's face. "This is the Reader. You'll see what magic this does when Radius is done." Reetu's mouthed curled into a twisted smile. "This is lovely. The Corporation is finally finishing the first phase." /**/ Joey decided to look for Wiki because he was completely spooked by people telling him to move with a large crowd. However the crowd was bad in a way, since he couldn't see anything. He elbowed and lunged past but not actually leaving the crowd. /**/ Wiki folded the newspaper. They must have been really wanted for a high bounty. "Wiki?" DWG said. Just as he said that, a whole squad of soldiers walked by the bench he was sitting on. Wiki stole a short peek and then immediately hid behind the newspaper. "What- wow." "Our invaders seem to be a group that calls themselves the Corporation." DWG reiterated to Wiki. "Be careful, dudes. Someone told Joey to be in crowded places for as long as you can. Move a lot." 'Well, I appear to be sitting on a random bench', Wiki thought. So, he stood up and started walking around with no particular destination. When he had walked five hundred miles he stopped for a moment to briefly wonder about his surroundings. The shadows had blurry edges. The sun seemed to have disappeared behind a cloud. At first he dismissed it as a real cloud, but the light had a tinge of yellow. He noticed that when he saw blue objects in a greenish shade. He looked up, and instantly became more fearful than before. The sky was coated with an almost opaque yellow forcefield. Wiki didn't know what to make of the situation. And he made a grave mistake. He stood still. When the forcefield finished covering the whole server in a yellow dome, the technology given to the soldiers activated. They can now see everything like a digital screen in science fiction movies. They can now see people's faces a lot clearer. Reticles appeared on faces detected. After a moment, yellow names lit up above the heads of the normal players. Those names had user IDs under them. A small screen with a long bar appeared at the left side. The word "LOADING" appeared. The bar filled with yellow color like a normal loading screen would. Once it finished, everything paused for a short moment, then some yellow names abruptly turned red and blue. The blue names were rulebreakers. The only red name was Wiki's. It meant that the player was in the manhunt operation. Wiki noticed as whole squads closed into his position. "My goodness." Wiki cursed inwardly and bolted away. "WikiRigbyDude! Surrender now!" The chasers drew out their guns and shot yellow disks, not orbs, at him. "Nope.avi!" Wiki grabbed his sword and deflected the disks. "I hate this, I hate this, I hate this, ermagewrd, I wanna go home!" "DAO! HE'S DISCOVERED!" Spyke shouted over her shoulder. Dao's mind jerked fully awake. "Oh no." Dao hurried to the screen. "Wiki, what is happening?" "I'm being chased!" Wiki gasped, followed by a plunk that would only come from a hard metal weapon hitting a sphere. "There is a forcefield around the server! Look at the sky!" Hubble, Demon, and Bunnie went by the windows and peeked out the window. "Yeah, the sky's yellow." Hubble described. "But it looks a lot like green, but yellow." "Okay. Get back here as soon as you can!" Wiki ran into a dirty alley and saw another person running. He didn't mind the guy. "I'm trying- OOF. GET OUT OF MY WAY- Joey?" "Yeah." Joey's voice panted. The cabin guys concluded that the two met, which is both good and bad. "It's me. Some dude told me to keep running. So, I did." "Well, that guy's right." Right on cue, the soldiers appeared behind them. "HEY!" The soldiers shouted. "Surrender now!" "No!" "Oh, in the name of Adrien Brody and MLP, I ain't surrendering!" "Well then, as you please." Dao heard it. He instantly grabbed a mike close to his face and shouted. "GET OUT OF THERE!" There were loud steps after, accompanied by heavy panting and the sound of deflecting orbs. Not long after, there was a silence. After that, static. The cabin people knew what kind of fate had fallen on the two. "Damn!" DWG shouted. "No!" "My goodness." Spyke removed her headset and leaned back on the chair, denying that the team lost two more survivors. They all burst out with shouts and lament for their deceased friends. "They were close!" Hubble's talking blade yelled. "Not even close to where Roc is!" Everyone paused, then realized what the sword has been saying. Hubble clutched his sword tighter, and then glared into its haunted soul. "Don't offend people like that!" Hubble scolded the sword. Bunnie looked sideways at Kick. He just shrugged. "I didn't know this will happen..." Kick defended himself from Bunnie's death stare. "Hey, speaking of Roc, where are Map, Claire, and ShadowPKC?" Bunnie almost fiddled with her thumbs before catching her mistake. "Roc is out? Oh no." Dao realized. "They must be planning to- Bunnie, why didn't you tell us?" All curious eyes fell in either Bunnie or Daorack. He had figured out something. She withered. "I swore to keep it a a secret. I know they might be in trouble, but Roc wants to avenge Albino, Map wants to help Roc, Shadow wants to try and protect them, and Claire left because she felt obliged to keep an eye on Roc." "There's only one way to see where they went." Spyke turned to the shotgun microphone terminal in the control panel in the cabin. PS: I might edit this tomorrow. I need some comments, I am actually getting embarrassed of double posting. Also, I do have a knack for naming people weird. Remember Garnet? Do you want him back or something? I made a part where he makes a short cameo, but I can always delete that part...
Yay Being Garnet back Yayyyyyy Anyway, yeah, it's pretty good. Especially so far, I thought they might actually make it. Why didn't they... Whyyyyyyy.... WHYYYYYYYYYYY! *cries*
Chapter 14 Spyke played the recordings. The group listened carefully to the voices. "Please listen to me." Roc's choppy voice pleaded to whoever he was talking. "Ensure this does not waste time, mortal." Claire had said. So obvious for a god of lies. "Why are we here?" Mappy had inquired. "I'm going to go back to the city. I'm going to find Albino." Roc fearlessly announced. There was a brief moment of silence. "If you go, I need to at least help." Shadow piped up. "It's fun breaking skulls, and it's like avenging the deaths of our friends, no?" Map chuckled. "Many friends have fallen. I will do anything necessary to honor their sacrifices." Claire paused for a couple of seconds. "I would have to tell Bunnie. She should know, I cannot simply betray my best friend." All turned to Bunnie. They really were best friends of the bunch. "So, let's move out after Claire tells Bunnie." Roc said. "I'm going To plan this through." There was a silence after a brief rustle and scuttle sounds. Spyke fast forwarded the recording until she heard squeaks. She played it normally. "She has agreed. It took three weeks, unfortunately." Claire started. "At least." Shadow replied. There were some steps and the crackle of a paper. It was loud, so the paper must be big. "This is our position." Roc said. "The tunnel to the city is right under us. So, we use this tunnel to go to the city and attack." "Let's go." Map impatiently huffed. "Wait. Before that, some words." Roc cleared hos throat. "If we die, at least we tried." "Who cares about dying?" "We might die permanently this time." "Oh, yeah... " "So, let's go." "Hey, where's my watch?" Map suddenly asked. "This one?" Shadow said. "That one, thanks!" Map cheerfully said. Dao and co. ran down the stairs under the not-so-abandoned cabin. The group sped through the cavern in worry of their rogue team members, who had left to avenge their late friends. In adrenaline rush and extreme concern, they pushed the camouflaging boulder away in lesser time. A handful immediately closed the entrance while the remainder went first. They still tread the forest carefully. "Patrolling helicopter!" Rockor warned. Some dove under the ferns. Dao just pressed himself against the shady part of a jungle tree. Demon pushed Bunnie to hide her and ducked under a short oak tree. Hubble didn't know what to do, so he slashed at a bush's stem and plopped it on his head, and then ducked. "Nice camo." Mrcee said, half chuckling. "Animoes, don't move, dude." Bacon huskily whispered. "Sorry, dude." Animoes apologetically answered. "Is it gone?" Athens asked quietly. "Maybe." Yomc peeked through the pseudoplant. "It's not yet gone." "Look, arrows." Gthang pointed. In truth, some arrows were stuck on the helicopter's body and tail. More arrows followed, but missing the helicopter. A black figure mounted the helicopter's machine gun and fired small but lethal arrows at whatever it was aimed at. There was a screech of pain. The terrible scream belonged to Roc's voice. And they were just near. "Thou shalt perish!" Boomed another voice, full of rage. The next thing they saw was a blue ball of Tessaract energy, hitting the hostile aircraft. It spiraled downwards and exploded somewhere once it crashed. "It's like Transformers again." John murmured. "They're just over there!" SilentArrow shouted, pointing to the direction where the ball originated. "Let's go!" The team made their way to the small furious four, but not before stopping to fight. "There are two helicopters!" Kick yelled. A helicopter had spotted Dao's survivors and opened fire at them. Bacon was hit on the back with three arrows before falling lifeless on the forest ground. "BACON, PLEASE BE ALIIIVE!" Apezord knelt beside the body of a teammate. "I was the first to say that." Rockor mumbled before standing up and blindly shooting an arrow at the helicopter. The arrow cut.through air and lodged itself in the rotor of the helo blades. "Ohhh myyy goood." Gallade stared in awe as the helicopter blades stopped moving for a moment. It gained speed again, regaining altitude. Gallade, Rockor, and Ganja looked at each other, nodded, and then simultaneously stood up. They aimed and fired. Rockor scored a headshot on the guy mounting the machine gun. Gallade killed the helicopter pilot. Ganja shot a flaming arrow at the rotor. With more damage, the blades mainly responsible for lift stopped working, and the helicopter fell. "Nice shot!" Ganja laughed, doing a high five with Gallade and Rockor. "Impressive!" Gthang complemented. At that, the team moved towards the site where they expected the four were. There were balls engulfing whole jungle trees, leaving a crater on the ground. There were flying yellow marbles everywhere. Some even went as lost spheres, going on and on away from the place itself, waiting to hit a tree, a rock, or even a poor living being. A shrinking orb almost ate John. "Next lucky guy." Homie complemented. "Thanks." John pulled out his sword, and then charging at the enemies. Rockor shot arrows, protected by Athens and Yomc's swords. Gallade climbed up a tree and shot from his sniper perch. SilentArrow stole away and disguised as a bush, then used his bow to kill. They can all see the other four, but in scattered positions. "Meatballs, rescue Claire and Shadow." Dao ordered. Hubble, Bunnie, Demon, Ganja, Apezord, Gallade, Athens, Rockor, Kick, and Mrcee sped to save their fellow club members. "I almost forgot how many of us are Meatballs." Dao muttered to Yomc. But they split into two in Hubble's own command. The first half went for Claire, the others for Shadow. The rest took the liberty to look for Map and Roc, while killing the formidable hostile force. Map had bonked a few heads when she was hit by an arrow to the arm (not the knee, or she might be crippled in her whole life after). She dropped the bat in pain. Another arrow sent her tumbling to the ground. She did fall, but not before turning her head to Claire's direction. She was about to take control of an unfortunate soldier. She watched her catch an arrow with her left as she hypnotized the poor soul. There was a rocket aimed at the god. Map hit her head hard against a small rock, but she didn't black out until she saw Claire launched into the air because of the rocket propelled grenade. She saw something yellow coming for her. She closed her eyes, accepting her fate, but not remembering her wristwatch. Bunnie saw Claire flying backwards. The latter hit a tree before falling down behind a wall of boulders. She rolled down on the ground. Claire stood up, trying to regain balance. However, in this vulnerable state, a specialist attacked her with nothing more than a knife. Having dropped her spear, she brought out her daggers instead, and fought hand to hand with her attacker. She had slashed enough wounds at the oppressing person while gaining her own cuts and wounds. The enemy, unfortunately, had the advantage of not having a painful back. He swiftly stabbed her in the stomach before she could even drive her own dagger on the head. She fell in agonizing pain in her trunk. The specialist crouched to kill her by, oddly enough, strangling her. She could see a gun fully loaded at his waist, so she wondered why she was being spared by a shrinking demise. In a moment, she realized her arms and hands had gone black, not gold. She struggled to get his hands off him. Bunnie and company ran to the back of the wall. There was a steep slope. They went careful, lest they fall down. Upon reaching the end, they found Claire crouching on the ground next to a limp specialist in black. He had several cuts on his face and body, just like her. She picked up her spear and limped, something unusual for her. "Why are you limping?" Bunnie asked. "I'm hurt." Claire had answered, but there was no smile. Just an expression of exhaustion. "Let's get you back home." "HUBBLE!" Ganja called out like he was in another dimension. The half group instantly ran up and towards the direction of the shout. Even in the midst of battle, they ran in the middle of the fight not caring about imminent injury. They found the other half beside a dying ShadowPKC. "Oh my." Athens gasped. Shadow had a lethal injury; an arrow embedded in his chest. He called Claire to his side. "T-take this s-sword..." he sputtered weakly. "F-for this is the o-only memory of m-my life." Claire hesitantly took the blade and watched Shadow exhale his last breath. His eyes glazed over, and his head hung. Seconds later, his body faded into thin air. "Where's Map?" Animoes asked. "She's dead." Claire sorrowfully answered. "So is Roc." The team fell in silence for the newly deceased. comments?
I'm..... dead? NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU </3 xD
Was it intentional that Rockor, Yomc, and I seem to always work as a group? XD Anyway, love the details and elaboration. Keep it up Claire! :D Oh yeah, but, I did notice some grammatical errors "Rockor shot arrows, protected by Athens and Yomc's swords." Since the sword is belonging to me, you might want to make that possessive by adding an apostrophe to the end of my name. EDIT: Nevermind, swords is plural so what you did is right Also when you're doing quotes if the sentence the person is saying ends in a period I think you just put a comma unless there's nothing afterwards. Ex. "Let's go." Map impatiently huffed. I think it would be: "Let's go," Map impatiently huffed.
Chapter 15 When they all returned to the cabin, Bunnie suddenly went into a bad mood. She sulked just by the bookcases. "Bunnie?" Demon said, trying to know what was bugging her. "What's wrong?" "Claire doesn't want to talk to me." Bunnie huffed. "You know, she was thrown off balance by a rocket, not to mention a guy tried to kill her. Map, Shadow, and Roc are dead." "Probably just survivor's guilt." "Hey, guys." Animoes called out to them. "We're having a meeting." "Okay." Bunnie stood up with Demon's help. The two went into the meeting room, where everyone was either quiet or snoring. "Wake up, everybody." Dao clapped his hands. Everyone roused themselves up in compliance. "What's the meeting about?" Mrcee inquired. "It's going to be about what kind of enemy we're facing." Mira replied. "You know about Wiki and Joey, right? Before they died, we got recordings, no?" "Of course." Low sighed. "Our invaders seem to be a Corporation." DWG added. "A company?" John looked confused, just like a few others who didn't pay attention to the pair's operation. "A group calling themselves the Corporation." Dao clarified. "It's a really cryptic association." "I agree." Nyan chimed in. "Last time, we knew right away that we're being invaded, so I flipped the defense switch right after we ran away." "You were the reporter back then." Demon raised a brow. "Of course you know." "But, look. Right now, what happened? First, we received a ton of missing guy reports, then the next thing we know, the server went chaotic because the sun, moon, and stars disappeared." "Then when it went into martial law, they suddenly invaded." Pk put his fist on his chin to think. "Precisely what I want to talk about." Daorack smiled. "At least you have figured it out." "Yay!" "So, I believe that the events that happened in the last few days are closely tied in." Dao said. "I know all of you think this. But one thing bugs me. Why was the sun and moon gone, even for a short time?" The question left the other freedom fighters fall into deep thought. But, Dao had another question. "And why do we have a forcefield around us?" Dao raised both arms up in level with his shoulder, then let them fall down. "It's either for us, here, in this poor cabin." "How?" Jonachu raised his brow. "It's either to keep us out, or trap us here." Daorack answered his own question. The others nodded in agreement. "If they keep us out, we won't have a fight. If they trap us in, they can still hunt us down. Or maybe, they are making sure we can't get any help, no?" "Good point!" Gthang nodded a lot of times. "So they'll be sure that they win!" "I'm getting the idea we're dealing with a group more powerful and a hell lotta smarter than the King." DWG stated. " "But what about the mysterious disappearances of the objects in the sky plus the rulebreakers?" Low wondered. "Someday, we'll know, but right now, let's devise another plan." Dao said. /**/ Map woke up a few hours after the fight ended and they had left. She pushed herself up with a grunt of sudden pain assaulting her arm and back. She tried to stand, but her right leg was also hit. Mappy fell to a thick patch of ferns with a soft thud. For a brief moment she thought snakes resided there, so she quickly stood up, only to fall on another fern patch. "I hate this." She muttered. She put all her weight on the mostly uninjured left side of her body, and eventually pushed herself up. She leaned helplessly by a boulder. She took some time to gather what she remembered. She recalled the rocket hitting Claire, the fight, what happened before the ambush. Roc led the group into the thick jungle. Shadow stayed back to look out for the small group's most vulnerable point, the back. Shadow and Roc had swords and bows and quivers. Claire packed her daggers and spear. Mappy had Scout's aluminum bat. "Will we be seen?" Shadow had asked. "Probably." Roc replied hastily. "No need to be negative." He shrugged, and went back to swinging his sword. "What if we don't find Albino and the others?" "Says the one who tells me not to think negatively." "He does have a point." Claire snapped. "Look at it. If we don't find them, what do we do? Most likely we would die." Roc paused. "At least we have died for them." Mappy was jerked back to the real world when she heard a soft sound of flickering electricity. Whatever was the origin, it buzzed more frequently over time. She decided to ignore it and look around, and found something gold and blue on the ground. "Claire's spear!" Map hurriedly picked it up. Once she got it, there was the buzz again. "What the heck is that?" Mappy whispered to herself. She looked around at the ground to look for her aluminum bat, and found it near the second patch of ferns she had collapsed onto. She used her left arm to raise it. She staggered to where her ears told her where it was coming from, and went on the wall of stones. "Wait a minute..." Map frowned, realizing something. "I remember. Claire fell here..." She peeked around to check. There. She saw a black figure lying at the lower end of the slope. Sunlight confirmed that it was a body of a specialist member. "Okay...?" Map raised a brow. She was about to turn around when the buzz came back. The black body was flickering, revealing what it actually was under the uniform. Map, throwing all thought of pain away because she was curious, limped as fast as she can to the body, and crouched. She felt something around her arm tighten. PS: I know it's short, but I want to address a problem and answer a question. @Athens: Yes, intentional. I asked my mom, she said it's right... If I say: ' "Hi Athens." She greeted. ' The period means that the sentence she is saying is done, or what she wishes to state in one line is finished. ' "Hi Athens," she greeted, "how are you?" ' There's a difference, she said. Problem: The forums are not okay. I had to double post last night and experiment a bit. Chapter 14 was almost at 10k characters. I double posted in case readers would view it immediately. Then I found out that a post needs to be actually less than 9.5k characters. Because of that, I might upload the unedited but spellchecked version somewhere. That's all.
828 Views... my birthday is on the view count! Need an author's note here: Map talks to herself on this chapter, may hint schizophrenia. Chapter 16 Map knew what she should do. Run back to the cabin. Something bad has happened. If the cabin guys know this, they would all be spared of the possible bad things that would happen. Her mind was racing, as well as her legs. While running at a speed only she as the Scout can possibly achieve, she thought of the worst situation the others might suffer. Would they all be decapitated with a wooden axe? "Enough of this, Map, dangit." She mumbled to herself before remembering her right leg was injured. She fell to the ground again, the adrenaline suddenly gone from her system. "Ow." After that, she promptly stabbed the sharp end of Claire's scepter on the dirt, and then used her bat to push herself up. Once she got back to her feet, she took out the spear and closely inspected the metal. Mappy brushed off some dirt from it. "Claire would not like this." She mused. "And stop talking to yourself, Map. Aaand I just talked to myself." She checked her leg after. "No broken bones. Just a flesh wound. Argh. I'll just walk." /**/ "How'd Map die?" Radeon questioned Claire. "She hit her head on a rock." Claire hissed. "Now, please stop bothering me." Radeon was taken aback by the answer. He slowly stepped back and away from her and sprinted to Bunnie, Demon, Athens, and Hubble. "Got what you need?" Radeon asked. "Yeah..." Athens frowned in deep thinking. Hubble pinched his chin. "I don't know about this." "Agreed, Hubble." Demon nodded. "She isn't herself." "I just want to tell you guys that we should leave her alone for a day or two." Radeon said. "We lost five in a day." "But something is not right." Bunnie snapped. "My gut is strong on this." "When we told her Benjan died, she... umm..." Demon hesitated to say the next. "To put it simply, she mercilessly killed them all." "Right now, sulking like that, isn't like her." Athens added. "Right now, she should have had revenge kills." Radeon's brows raised and his eyes widened. "How'd you know all this?" "I'm her best friend." Bunnie answered right away. "My sword told me." Hubble replied. "I agree with Bunnie." Demon's expression was a clear 'is it obvious?' face. "All of the original Meatballs are homicidal at some point." Athens said. The three Club members standing just beside him glared the sharpest of daggers at him. Athens sensed the sudden hostile stare directed against him. "What? Yomc-" "Yes?" Answered a voice from upstairs. "I can hear you from up here." "I'm not calling you, Yomc." Athens sighed. "Anyway, are we going to ponder further?" "Yes." /**/ Map finally found the boulder covering the tunnel. The displaced moss under the large rock gave it away. However, Map found herself a big dilemma to deal with. "How do I move this rock?" She wondered about what she can do. Her eyes landed on the scepter she was holding on her right hand. "Hmm. I can blast it off." She wobbled away from the stone and aimed the spear at the stone. The blue ball gradually had a glowing aura around it as energy charged. A thought suddenly occurred to her, so she chose to lower the weapon first. What if the rock would suddenly break into smaller pieces due to the deadly and powerful force of the staff? She wouldn't risk the entrance of their hideout found. Only Saul could artificially produce another boulder like that, but the problem was that Saul and the rest of the Crew were missing. "Aww come on." Map muttered to herself. "I'm not using my bat to- ohhh yeah..." She eyed the spear again. "I could use this as a lever!" If Claire's scepter had a soul like Hubble's CMB³, it would grunt in annoyance. Map stuck the sharp end under the rock and pushed. "I need a torque of- stop thinking about physics!" The rock eventually budged and moved, opening the tunnel to her. She brightened up like the torches inside. She immediately entered before the rock could fall and seal the entrance. "I'm coming, people." /**/ "Want me to help you?" Yomc offered his help he was unsure of. Hubble, Bunnie, and Demon looked up at him at the same time. He promptly wondered if all Meatballs had some kind of telepathic connection they were not even aware of. "What can you do?" Athens asked. "What would you want me to do?" "We need to extract information if that god," Athens gestured to Claire, "is actually the God of Mischief." "Sounds easy to do." Yomc casually stretched his arms and then walked to Claire's direction, before Bunnie could warn him about the denial stage of stress. "So, how-" "Stay. Away." She hissed. He felt like he was running for his life away from her. "Omaigewrd, I can't even look at her." Yomc quivered. He stole a glance at her, but looked away once he confirmed she was staring angrily at them. "Always remember to consider what a lie-smith can do when she's angry." Hubble crossed his arms. "I thought I could... use a soft point-" "SOFT POINT?!" Unexpectedly, it was Bunnie who exploded. "She cannot let anyone use her soft side against her!" "Calm down..." Demon said. "You're the only one left to show your angry side." Athens turned to Demon. Demon shrugged. "I don't know." Demon tilted his head sideways. "You should know that Claire- wait, hear that?" Bunnie apparently heard something, and the others couldn't. "I smell something." Hubble sniffed in the air. "What do you smell?" Bunnie momentarily disregarded her rage. "Fish." "Are you really that hungry?" "Yes. I want chocoloco." "But what's with the fish?" "I don't really know." "Wait! Can you hear that?" Bunnie went on high alert as she tried to search for the origin of the sound. "It sounds like footsteps on stone." She paused. "No, not stone. It's slow footsteps on wood." "Should we check the cavern? It's just wood, dirt, and gravel here." Athens said. "And because I think it seems distant to you, the staircase in the cave should be where it's coming from. "Of course." Yomc agreed. "Let's bring our weapons to be sure." Armed with their weapons, they went to the trapdoor by the bookcases. The group walked by Rockor, who seemed as spooked as Bunnie. "I hear some steps in the cave!" Rockor panted. "At least you're here." "Actually, we're going in the cave." Hubble spoke. "As long as I'm not alone." "What if it's a lost soul like me?" CMB³ squealed. "Please be quiet, you schizophrenic spirit." Hubble mumbled. Demon was about to pry open the trapdoor when it flung open of its own accord. Demon jumped back ten miles and crawled back another ten. Rockor and Athens instantly stepped back. Bunnie looked shocked. Hubble was too busy shutting his sword up. "Hey, it looks like you have seen a ghost." The girl who opened the trapdoor climbed up. "Map! We thought you were dead!" Bunnie said. "Are you a ghost? "No, I'm alive." "Guys, we need a first aid kit!" Demon shouted. There were a few accusations about who lost what after. "Let's take you to the room where we just left." Yomc said. Map used Claire's spear as a makeshift cane, and trudged to the room. "Why do you have Claire's spear?" Yomc asked just before Map could enter the room. When she looked at Claire, her jaw dropped for a moment. Yomc was initially surprised at Mappy's expression, and then turned to Claire, who shared the same shocked reaction. "Umm, hello?" Yomc waved his hand over Map's face. She angrily swatted his hand away and raised her bat. She attacked Claire. Just before the metal bat could hit Claire's head, the god leapt away. Map broke the chair instead. The commotion attracted everyone's attention. Dao pulled Map away from Claire. "What is happening?!" Daorack demanded. Still huffing in fury, Map pointed an accusing finger at Claire. "That god is a spy!" Map yelled. PS: That last line, Map, was your reserved quote XD Comments? And sorry for double post. People read, not post...
Chapter 17 "COMMANDER ALIAS!" A Corporation lieutenant urgently cried, running to the confused leader with a bunch of papers. "What's the rush?" The deep voiced commander asked the really tired soldier. Alias was like the other four commanders, powerful and merciless, but more considerate. The soldier had hurried to him instead of Rieuan or Reetu. "We have gotten reports of the rebels hiding in a jungle." "Good news, but why the rush?" Alias took the papers and leafed through it. "All of the troopers dispatched to eliminate the terror faction were killed." "At least we know they're in a jungle. No sacrifice means no progress." The friendly commander handed back the papers. The lieutenant was hesitant to accept it, but he took it anyway. "We found out something more serious than that." Alias raised an eyebrow. "There has been a breach in the system." "What?! Why didn't you forward this to Fries or even Rieuan and Reetu?" "Ehh, you're in charge of the military. Aihow is the weapons commander. Fries makes sure of order in the server. Rieuan and Reetu are the overall rulers." "Grr. So, what's the breach?" The lieutenant went to a vacant seat on a panel and turned it on. Curious, Commander Alias leaned to look. There was a picture of a specialist and some information of the person. "As you can see, Micheal Furfein was a spy. He was killed in action in the Kingdom." "Yes, go on." "Furfein is in here, dated just a few hours ago, when helicopters were dispatched to the jungle." He opened an archived video and played it. It was taken with a dead soldier's camera, so, it was not moving around. It was located by the lower part of a sloping area, so the angle was a bit tilted. There was a short flash of green that flew from an unseen point. After some moments, the green figure appeared. It was undoubtedly one of the survivors. The spy attacked her. Both had inflicted deep wounds at each other, until the specialized soldier stabbed the rebel. He strangled her afterwards until she stopped struggling. While slowly killing her, the spy placed something on the rebel's shoulder, and then he disguised as her. She was disguised as a dead soldier, but still breathing shallowly. The disguised spy fell back to recover from the injuries, until the other rebels arrived. "Look! Clear shot!" The lieutenant typed some commands and a new image was formed, but in the same time and place. There was a function to remove specialist disguises. "See that, sir?" The lower ranking official pointed to the face of the 'spy'. "That guy is from the Kingdom!" Alias realized, looking at the badge on the sleeve of the unidentified person. "There was a survivor!" Alias leapt away and then picked up the phone. He dialed the speed number of Rieuan. "Hello, this might or might not be Reetu." Rieuan said. Alias went straight to the point. "There was a breach in the system!" Rieuan almost dropped his phone. /**/ The guys at the cabin had mixed reactions. Some didn't right away believe what Map said. Others were just shocked. Five in particular figured it out. "I KNEW IT!" Bunnie erupted, marching angrily towards the spy. "No, no, I can explain-" The person using Claire's guise was suddenly pinned to the wall by Bunnie. "You are not my friend!" She exclaimed. "I'm going to ask you one question!" "O-okay." "When was the Meatball Club established?!" The others jumped at the volume of Bunnie's voice. 'Claire' looked around desperately. The probability of getting it right was 1 over 365. "Uhhh... February 10?" "WRONG!" "Now, now, calm down." Demon dared to approach the lion bunny. "We can get some information from that spy." "Good point." Dao agreed. In less than a second, the spy was tied up in a chair. Map was taken to the small healing room. After a couple of minutes of blaming whoever lost the first aid kit, Ganja actually found it. Mrcee and Animoes tended to Map's needs, while everybody else was watching the interrogation part., "Who are you working for?" DWG started the questioning. "I don't work for anyone, if you just untie me-" "You're a spy. We can't let you go, miss. Or mister." "Mister..." "Why did you take the form of a female god then?" "Actually, Loki can shapeshift to female or male." Bunnie interrupted, still upset that Claire was actually dead. Hubble, Demon, and Athens combined efforts to keep her a bit positive. "There's your explanation." The double agent snarled. "I have something to explain." "What will you explain?" Rockor challenged. "Just untie me." They looked at each other in uncertainty. "I assure you, this is NOT a trick." After a moment, they looked at Daorack. They all trusted Dao, and they need his order. Dao nodded, letting them untie him. Rockor, Gallade, and Ganja surrounded the restrained spy, gripped their bows, and took an arrow. They aimed their weapons at him in case of a double crossing person. Swords were unsheathed. DWG used his mod sword to slash at the ropes. "How easy." The spy mumbled. He fiddled with something around his left wrist. To the last line of hope for the server, 'Claire' was tightly gripping her gold armband, doing nothing in particular. "What. The heck. Are you doing?" Yomc squinted to look as dangerous as he can. "I'm looking for my watch- oh there it is." There was a cloud of white smoke afterwards. The whole cabin jumped immediately to red alert once they saw the puffs. "SECURE THE AREA!" "Calm down, dudes." A familiar and friendly voice said. However, it didn't belong to any JH citizen. "Holy crap." Kick gasped. The smoke cleared some nanoseconds later, revealing a tall man with that unmistakeable blonde hair. Yomc and Kick stepped away as slowly as possible. They haven't developed a phobia of the man, they were just afraid of heights. "Garnet, what the heck?" Yomc loudly wheezed out. "Miss me?" Garnet grinned, recalling the moment when Saul picked up the two by leg and arm and leapt off the ground. The Crew member had swirled them around the sky, dropped them, and made them walk to the lounge with no balance at all. "No. What are you doing in this server?" "So, it all started when I planned another vacation here..." PS: Yay! Wahay! The birthstone is back! Next chapter: might be a flashback, but there are parts I made as flashnow… *cackles* get it? No? Okay. I’m going insane right now because of science activities I don’t like doing, BUT NO WORRIES I CAN STILL BE SANE UNTIL I FINISH THIS Comments?
I have difficulties with this chapter. I have all the free time in the world, but Code Geass is... pulling me. Notify me of spelling/grammar errors. “Micheal” is intentional. Chapter 18 Garnet was looking at the map of the JH server, along with a small picture of a certain moderator. He'd love to relax in the beaches of the JH Creative district. He might go hiking in the [explored] jungles of SG. He wanted to visit BuildIt to see her. "Garnet?" He turned and bowed slightly to the King. "My liege." "I see you want to take a vacation again?" "Yes." "Send my best products to the Crew, as a gift to them." "Yes, I will do that." Suddenly, there was a loud sound of a horn. Garnet's high spirits dropped. "Garnet, we're being attacked." The King sighed. "I was expecting something badass like a missile." John interrupted Garnet's story. "Okay, fast forward to my badassery." Garnet said, smirking. "RALLY ALL FORCES TO THE DEFENSES!" Garnet commanded. The invading ships were in view already. "SEND A MESSAGE TO THE OFFICIAL XENON!" "Sir! We have been told that Xenon's server is dealing with the same threat to their server, too!" "DANGIT, AQUAMARINE." Garnet banged his head on a table. Of all servers, Xenon was also being attacked. His server was supposed to be the most technologically advanced server nation, plus the most powerful in military might in Garnet's opinion. "Get the King to the bunkers!" He shouted at the elite squads. The platoon left immediately upon receiving the order. "Protect him at all costs! Of course, bring the Queen and the whole royal family to the bunkers, too!" "Sir!" A technician cried out. "We lost contact with the outside world!" "How?!" The guy named after a red gemstone shrieked. "Why, when, what?!" "They attacked our satellite systems with a virus! Everything is shut down! Communications, even the local ones, are down!" It was devastating. Good communications was one of the major keys in winning a war. Everyone would be doing the same if there were good signals. But to go to war with absolutely no communication to the squads is like going to a formal event without your pants. "We'll lose." Garnet murmured. "Just fight with all of our glory." He watched from the Castle worriedly and looked at the battlefield below him. He watched sadly, until his eyes landed on two fighters. One was one of his forces, the other was a man fully covered in black. He saw them fight with blades. The enemy was winning as he was quicker than the defending soldier. Soon, the enemy killed his opponent. There was something Garnet saw afterwards that others didn't notice. The black uniformed figure pulled something out of a pocket and placed it on the dead soldier's head. They switched appearances. "Woah. Lee. Shet." Garnet cursed as the enemy disguised as one of his troops, going directly below him to enter the palace. Instantly, a plan hatched in his mind. He could kill the spy and take on his disguise, provided that he wouldn't die trying to subdue that specialized warrior. Swiftly he grabbed his dual blades and descended the nearby stairs, sights zeroed on that disguised enemy. At the foot of the stairs, he encountered the spy. Garnet mercilessly charged at the spy and stabbed him. "Just business." Garnet mockingly apologized as the disguise wore off and revealed his true face. The enemy fell with a thump on the ground. Garnet rifled through the dead spy's pockets. "What the heck did you use to disguise?" Garnet removed a bracelet like thing around the left wrist. He put it around his own wrist, and then accidentally pressed a button he didn't see in the first time. He heard a beep. "What. The heck. Was that?" Garnet spun around while crouching. He looked at his wrist, and saw a blinking red light. "What does this object do, anyway?" Garnet shook his left wrist vigorously, but it wouldn't shut up. After seconds of failing to stop it from beeping, he just resumed to taking everything out of the other guy's pockets. He fished out an ID card. "Micheal Furfein, huh?" Garnet squinted at the small writing on the card. He placed it inside his own pocket. After that, he found other things that seemed useless. There was a small sort of pin that had a small antenna. "What is this?" Garnet eyed the pin. He dropped it on the body, not caring what it was until he realized his arms were black. "By the King's beard!" Garnet shrieked, looking at his body. He was dressed as the enemy. Even his reflection was the enemy. "Did I get mind swapped?! Nononono- oh wait." His sight went to the body beside him. It was his uniform, his face. He looked asleep, probably since the other guy was dead. "Ohhh, switching. Got it." He then heard something out of place. "My voice! It has changed! Oooh, this is one heck of technology!" He took every pin he could find and stole away from 'Garnet'. He went outside and hollered at the enemy officer nearby. "I KILLED SOMEONE!" Garnet yelled in Furfein's partially shrill voice. The officer stared straight into his soul within mere seconds if reporting. "What did you say, spy?!" "I killed someone." "Good! You have killed Garnet? The one coordinating the defenses?" Garnet could not believe he killed his supposed-to-be assassin and disguised as the said hitman. "Yes, sir!" "What a short lived battle." The officer commented before he put his hand over his ear and pressed a button in his earpiece. "Commander Trem." Suddenly, his eyes widened in sudden happiness. "Great! The royal family has been captured!" Garnet's heart sank. His server fell in less than an hour? This cannot be! They're so powerful! Garnet steeled himself up before he could let the tears drop. He saw the sky change with that tinge of yellow. Some weeks later, he went undercover as Micheal Furfein, learning a lot about the Corporation, but cannot find a way out of the forcefield all by himself. When their conquerors said that nothing can touch the forcefield and return alive, they meant it. Garnet tried shooting an arrow, and then it just vaporized. He made up his mind to wait for the right time. His heart sank when his 'squadmates' reported his faked death to the captured Royal Family. He saw the King gasp in horror at the news of his 'demise'. The Queen fainted. The crown princess couldn't help but wail the military leader's name. He almost cried, but suppressed his emotions before he could blow his own cover. One day, the commanders called Garnet and some other platoons. It was four weeks before meeting the surviving rebels at JH. He stood before the Corporation commanders. "Do you know why you are here?" One of them asked. None moved a muscle. "I have called you all for good news." Garnet listened in increasing interest. Possibilities formed in his mind. "You were the most valuable squads during the invasion of this lowly nation." Another commander, now female, said. Garnet shouted at her for directly insult his beloved motherland. His nationalism intensified internally. The woman continued on with her unimpressive speech. "And maybe you will be the most valuable, too. You will be sent to assist five commanders in attacking another server nation." All summoned soldiers inwardly gasped and became excited. The first commander who spoke added something very interesting. "We heard this server is extremely resilient and courageous. It has also been attacked by this very nation we are on, and they got their freedom back using wits and force." Garnet's eyes widened. "You will be going to this IP... play.itsjerryandharry.com." Garnet almost squealed about how the odds were in his favor.
Continued... post was too long :I *sigh* Garnet went on Furfein's disguise the night before deployment. He easily granted access to the room where the King and the other members of the royal family were kept due to his EVS status (Extremely Valuable Specialist). Before he entered, he said something to the computer analyst nearby. "The message that the commanders wish me to convey is supposed to be extremely classified. Only them, the Royalty, and I are to know of it. Do not record. Understood?" 'Micheal Furfein' ordered. The analyst saluted at Garnet, and then the latter entered the cell. The King immediately went hostile in his presence. "What do you want, spy?!" He snarled with dripping venom. Garnet simply fiddled at his bracelet/watch and pressed a button to reveal himself. The Royal Family had those shocked looks. "I'm... here, your Highnesses." Garnet bowed. "At ease, at ease." The King rasped. "We thought you were dead!" "Yes, yes, but I need to make this fast." Garnet hushed everyone. "I'm assigned to go to the ItsJerryAndHarry server." "Good!" His Majesty exclaimed. "At least you'll get your vacation! Send my best regards!" "I will. Also, they're planning to attack them, so I will assist them." "Go, go! It's part of the Treaty of Fartlands. The invasion here was too fast, so they're forgiven!" Garnet smirked. He's going to visit the server after all. But not a vacation, unfortunately. "So, that's why I'm here." Garnet finished his story of arriving at the JH server. "So, you learned a lot about the Corporation." Daorack said. "Yes, of course. And because I promised to help you, I will tell you everything I know about the enemy." PS: OMG THIS IS FINISHED. Also, I think I just completely messed up the spy's name. It's Micheal Furfein, not Micheal Montresor. The latter is actually the first name, I didn't delete the name in Chapter 17. @Yomc: if you'll read this, belated happy birthday! :) I just knew your birthday yesterday... Comments?
Chapter 19 "Tell us, tell us, tell us!" CMB³ suddenly giggled. The sentient object shook in Hubble's hand, concerning Bunnie and Demon. "Stop shaking!" Hubble clutched his wrist. The haunted sword stopped moving. "Okay." The sword dejectedly replied. "Woah." Garnet waved both hands in front of him. "So, I do have a lot of intel on the Corporation, but their intentions are still unknown to me. I don't know if the Corporation is a server or an actual company that happens to have a lot of employees and arms." "Go on." Radeon said. "Here in this server, there are five supreme commanders. Two of them run this server as the Corporation does not like very resilient people. The forceful apprehension of your players is to break your spirits or make you furious. In either way, you'll all meet your end, and they wouldn't have problems about rebellion." "Wow... they planned this ahead." DWG frowned. "True. The Corporation seems to have observed all servers and planning." Garnet rubbed his chin. "And about the commander, there are Rieuan and Reetu, the runners. Commander Fries is somewhat an oddity, but he does a good job in maintaining absolute military law here. Commander Aihow is in charge of the weapons and equipment. Lastly, Commander Alias supervises the moves of every soldier." "Interesting." John muttered. "Why are there five commanders? Don't you think it's a bit coincidental?!" "No. As I have been informed, all of the commanders are Corporation employees." "So, you're saying that there are more people above the commanding officers?" "As I have been told." "You're a godsend, Garnet." "Thank you." "Of course you are!" Kick jumped. "So, I learned about the commanders from unsuspecting soldiers. We also investigated on the forcefield. We yielded a lot of information about it." "The forcefield? Goodness, Garnet." John gasped. "All information is awesome." Jonachu commented. "Tell us. Is it about its weaknesses?" Garnet nodded slightly. "The forcefield all around us runs on a series circuit. It may be possible that if we destroy one generator, the others will turn off, granting access to the outside world." "This is good news!" Pk exclaimed gleefully. "However, the location of these generators is more to the advantage of the Corporation. It's probably located somewhere on land in the server. Failsafes immediately turn on when the series circuit-like generator system is destroyed. And those failsafes are in a parallel type. We'll need to destroy every single one." "Now that's bad news." SilentArrow sighed sadly. "Is it dependent on power?" Jonander asked. "Because if it is, we can destroy its main power source, we can disable the forcefield!" Apezord realized. "Yes, but the power has failsafes, too. Not to mention, heavily guarded with yellow orbs that shrink you." The whole cabin went into an inept silence. All eyes were in the direction of Garnet. "What?" Garnet spoke. He swore he could hear an echo because of the excessively quiet room. "You don't know what they are?" Ganja reeled back. "I forgot, but I'm absolutely sure it's not called Terminator." "Because if it is, it's copyright infringement." "All I know is that it starts with a letter close to the letter T in terms of order in the alphabet. Don't blame me, I was bored when they told me the name of the arms." "Let's settle that matter for the moment." "Yes... I don't know where they go when they get 'killed'." Garnet accentuated with quotation marks with his hands. "I also caught wind of Mojang. I don't know what happened to them." "The last time we heard from them was about the malfunctioning respawn." Rockor stated flatly. It was now Garnet's turn to gasp in fright. "RESPAWN IS MALFUNCTIONING?!" "Didn't you see in your server?" "I don't know! How could this happen?! So I'll have to be careful! I want to live!" "Jeez. Calm down." Bunnie said. "Question. What happened to Xenon's server?" "I don't know, too." "Let's focus on destroying the main power source of the forcefield." Dao interrupted. "Garnet, where is it?" "A sergeant told me about it being in Survival." Garnet replied. "And Survival is closed." "Joey only said about a car entering it. Probably it's just one of the commanders checking on the power source." Ganja concluded. "Maybe." John agreed. "Guys, we're going to break into Survival." Dao announced. /**/ Reetu and Rieuan simultaneously smacked their foreheads in frustration. They knew that they would be responsible. With great power comes great responsibility. It is not that they didn't like being rulers. They loved the control they have. They intend in fulfilling the intentions of the Corporation, no matter what. Lawful evil beings follow a code of honor. But what they hated was that all of the bad things that they would encounter is their fault. "Fries." Reetu acknowledged the last commander to enter the meeting room. "I'm here. I heard there was a break in. And I assume it's bad, because of the red handprints on your foreheads." Fries spoke those words with the speed of a machine gun shooting bullets. "Slower next time, Fries." Aihow sighed deeply. "This is bad." "Yes. The Kingdom's defense leader wasn't assassinated after all." Alias slammed his fist on the round table. "And that officer happens to be disguised as an EVS all the time. Plus, it's only now we found out." "That guy is so damn good. He managed to stay low." Aihow grumbled. "We need to eliminate those rebels right now." "We have to take into consideration what the double agent knows." Alias said. "He knows what a regular VS knows. He doesn't know where exactly are our weak points, assuming he didn't snoop around." Fries answered. "Speaking of which, do not forget about something." Reetu suddenly smirked in a manner where he's sure of victory. "Do you not remember we also have lied to all of our subordinates about the real locations of the generators and the power source?" The other commanders took a short moment to realize. "What do you want to do, Rieuan?" Reetu asked. Rieuan just grinned. PS: I now know why I don't have replies. I don't accept new characters.
