The thing is, I often see my sister watching her shows and watch it with her for the sake of seeing what they're like. They are terrible with cheap forced humor, one-dimensional and stereotypical characters, cheap-quality everything. My family (other than my brother, who has seen an episode and only liked it as much as Joey did) only has caught brief glimpses of the show 2 years ago (I no longer have Hub on TV) and mostly judged it from there. It is *kind of* a similar thing, but still, a lot of their points are invalid.

That's your opinion of their shows. Don't force it upon them if you are not prepare to receive the same thing.

What I don't get, however is the hype the show gets. I can't say I haven't watched it, but I can say I just don't get it. "It teaches you a lesson" is what I hear. So what? Phineas and Ferb teaches you to seize the day, spongebob teaches you to see the silly things in life, Pretty Cure teaches you that friendship and working together is like magic... oh wait. Anyways, none of those shows go very deep, their meanings are placebos for the most part. The sane with my little pony. Full stop.

If you don't like people making fun of what you watch, don't make fun of what your sister watches
And you can't get mad at people for not liking a show you like
Also not everybody has to like what you like

I get slapped, punched, or kicked by my brother when I make a reference to any of the shows I like.
Like he makes fun of me for liking MLP, Doctor Who, and the BBT, but in serious-ness... I honestly don't give a crap.

But when he makes fun of The Beatles, I strangle him gently or slap him o-o

Look, Wiki. Right now, the word is fucked up. Yes, we are getting there, but there is still tons of discrimination. Discrimination has been here for cemturies. We have numbed it down a bit, but not slowed it down. People need someone or something to hate. Sadly, Homosexuality and MyLittlePony are just 2 of those things. If you know your dad's points, prove them wrong. I win some debates with my parents because I know their arguement.

Sort of off-topic, but I occasionally win them with my mom but never EVER with my dad because he refuses not to think he's right.

But Brony is not a social status. It's a name for fans of a tv show, just like Dr. Who fans are called whovians.

This is sort of unrelated, but discrimination and racism still occurs outside of homosexuality (which I'm not the best supporter of, I'll admit). It's just not heard about...

    Same.
My sister calls me an anime freak for watching Naruto, but I don't really care. My parents don't mind, but sometimes I feel like they just want to send me to a Psychologist.

    Anyways, Wiki.
Don't mind other people's opinions about you, be what you are.
Changing yourself Is a very bad thing.

Just like how I argued with my homosexual ex-friend about how he shouldn't be someone he Isn't, but he just doesn't want to let his family or any of his other friends know about his true self. Other than that, I decided that I've had enough of his lies to his own family, and from what I can see, he was really sad and upset(RainbowShim saved me from the word "Depressed") from what I decided to do, but I don't want to be with someone who doesn't be his true self.

And I know I'm not your parent, sister, or a relative and we aren't friends, but don't change yourself just because of what they said.

(Btw saul, wow, you watch anime. So that's why you had this kind of personality... Don't ask.)
Plus can you beat up your brother for me?
