Minecraft Is it just me or...

There are many not "useless" things.

Armor stands- These are now a key tool in command blocks.

New skins- The extra pixel really helps. I remember clearly being unable to create a good skin because of that pixel's absence.

Banners- There is a considerable amount of people who spend time crafting banners to reach a perfect point

The above aren't even the most useful- just what added much variety to the game known for it.

The coarse dirt- It isn't stupid. Many people struggled before the update to create their builds because of this block's absence. The miracle of having dirt next to grass without fear of the grass spreading brought wonders to landscaping, or just building in general.

The new stones- I've found much use for them. in many uses, the ugliness can be used as industrial material - and the colors have been long needed, as paired with the textures.

Rabbits- These are NOT useless. Think about what you can get- the potions, the meat... the same mobs get boring. Also, bunnies bring a sought-for sense of a pet, not a barn animal or a wild animal. I also find it quite incorrect to compare bunnies to horses- bunnies brought things, many things, that horses couldn't, and aren't supposed to.

From the above, I've found you gauging the update on uses of survival- of which there are actually many - instead of uses in creative. That mode exists for a reason- and makes Minecraft what it is- a game of great, great variety. This update, like every other major one, is vital in making Minecraft what it is.

If you don't like it, you can just remain stuck in your version while everyone climbs to the next, and the next...

What do you want, for us all to stay stagnant? No, no you do not.
