If you truly are scared of what they'll say or if they'll ostricize you, then go to a place, like a random public server, and state blatantly that you are a brony. You will most likely get hate. And I can tell you this. The comments that they give you, will be nearly identical to the ones your parents give you. Just remember that, and don't let the whole paranoia in relations get you down :)

Well, I receive hate for the kind of person I am. Everyone who gets hated on gets used to it eventually like I did.
