I miss the old days - Rant - Random

Considering I just made a whole rant about how it's depressing to me personally, and with my personal views, and the addition of another's thoughts that I'll keep unknown, that's the whole idea of how it's depressing to me. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Edit: I don't think I'd include you much in the "staff treated that comment too literal", as you just asked a simple question.

 

I know what you mean by it doesnt feel like a home anymore, it doesn't.
With all the new players taking over and stuff, you only get loyalty if you respect the servers ways.

Okay. I'm pretty sure I stated and underlined that when I say community, I mean the social entirety. I was not talking about the server itself, just what it's filled with. Obviously the social part of the community, which is 99.9% of minecraft, has changed, and honestly no one can deny that.

Anyway as for everything else of your thoughts, this is simply just a rant of how I miss how it was, nothing more, simply an opinion, I personally don't need more people saying "well.. it was in the past.. like.. times have changed" yeyeyey I get that already.

And for growing out of minecraft, oddly enough, no I havent, the only thing thats pushed me away from it are all the communities today, that are toxic.

I have a really huge problem with turkish people on skyblock, and I don't go on skyblock very often.

yeah, yeah, that's correct, what's annoying is that there is no way to toggle PM, because, see, I'm a high ranked donator and they will try to ask me to do something for them they can't do (enchant/repair) in very terrible english. It gets quite annoying sometimes, but I cannot do anything at all.

My opinion on staff:
They do their job really well, but what bothers me is that sometimes staff cannot take a joke. They always take shit too seriously and never seem to chill out, so, I do see where you're coming from. Also when you are friends with a non staff member, then they become staff, then they never seem to talk to you, I am kind of disappointed at the fact that they will never seem to change. Sorry, but, my statement has been made.

But if you have any problems with the staff members, just report them, we cannot control them, just like time can change us, but we can't change time, you cannot force someone to be another person.

And yes, I really do want to go back like it was in early 2013, when most people were not used to the community yet, and the old things.

Oh my god. Okay so I'm not crazy, the parts I underlined in your quote are when I basically yelled hallelujah at 1am in the morning. Oh my god thank you so much for that response actually. n.. I do agree with @_Magical and you a lil that this is somewhat I guess uhh name shaming er whatever, and I should have done better, but at the same time, this thread was made just after the encounter. Honestly when someone treats anyone like that, I tend to go just broadcast it, yes yes not the best idea, but it's just a flat out lesson in a way, rude - sure, everyone sees it - sure. People draw their own conclusions for that though, that ain't on me.

Alright, let's get back to the serious mode. It's true that most of the "Old Goodies" have vanished. I could be pretty much in that category as well... I knew some of them and was they were my friends, though I was stupid back then (still am, for certain) people loved me the way I was. When I was saying jokes (even if they were bad) people laughed. Now, when I ask people if they even want to hear one, most of the lobby becomes like muted. However some good peeps have shown up as well :). Although IjaH isn't the same at all, and most good mods have resigned/left (@_Magical, @05ocram05 etc.), shit will get better eventually. As for the dramas... Me, I actually enjoy this. I just sit back, bring popcorn and watch the people rage at each other laughing at their stupidity. IjaH community won't die.

Honestly.. I'd agree with Magical's statement. Whether you want to acknowledge/notice or not, a lot of people who used to go to spleef (thats where I stayed most) would say the same - or something remotely around that, basically saying "most staff don't have chill", the "helpers are okay and atleast do what they can" blah blah blah, "mods don't do anything but sit in hub all day" etc. I don't know about other minigame lobby communities opinions though. But please keep in mind... some people do think that, proof or not, we can't read everyones mind for a simple thought thats honestly reasonable. I'm quite sure Staff members have a hate following in ANY server, and with that, you got people like what Magical is saying.

 

Lol how the fuck do these people get staff.

They need to stop being so literal and just learn to listen to others and not challenge everything they say.

I was honestly trying to avoid a thread such as this because I've only been here since early 2013 and most people wouldn't call that "the old days".
But somehow the thread has changed to bashing certain members of the community once again.
I really hate it when threads with a normal intent and topic get destroyed by people calling each other out.
I'm sort of sad how I ultimately get tied into something I was trying to stay well away from.


I don't really have much else to say here other than this.
I'm sorry if you really feel that I've done something wrong, though I find it childish that you must publicly announce how 'horrible' I am.
I don't want to respond with hate because that just flames more hate etc. Though could we please stop with this immaturity?
If you really want to sort something out with me, use the mature route and sort it out in private.
You act like you want people to stop disliking you, but then you just give them more of a reason to dislike you.
Once again, I'm sorry if that's what you really think of me.
I believe this is a good topic to be talking about and I don't think it should be ruined by theses sorts of comments. I hope that everyone can avoid disliking me over what others say, but that's up to you.

I know, I have only been on IJAH since early 2014, but even then, in the OG days of spleef, of spawn, everyone knew everyone, you could have a normal conversation with a staff member, you could be happy, say things without getting shot down, everyone was friends with each other. But now [please catch me if I get too rude] everyone's stiff, we can't laugh, staff - don't get me wrong they are really great people - have started acting much older than they should, we are ALL somewhat still kids, and I feel that's been taken away, the old days were what made IJAH, the community the people, and I think that should be REMEBERED, not lost in the new changes and appearances, I hope I didn't sound too, eccentric? well, thanks for reading :)

 

Ahhhh...the good ol' days. I miss em'. A lot of people have come and gone since then. 2013-2014 were great years. Anyone recall Hai and DavyJones?
