Common core is basically a way to screw over drop outs and people who refuse to go to college by giving them careers in run down places. McDonald's is one of them, where as you need to have a degree to work in a certain feild, like being a medic. High school drop out = McDonald's (minimum wage) Graduation = McDonald's and any job where a degree isnt needed. (Minimum wage) Any degree from college (4+ years) = A good job such as CEO of an enterprise At least from what I remember reading about this 4 years ago.. @MC_Scout correct me if in wrong. @MisfittedCow if what I said was correct, which 50/50 is, is what is common core is about..
Not even close. This is common core in a nut shell: The goverment has made a list of things that students in every grade should know upon competing each grade. (part of the No Child Left Behind act) Each item is called a standard. These standards are set by the state, as education is a state right (Soruce) All students must show proficiency in the standards are they will not be able to pass. Schools also have to teach the standards. This hole process is called the common core, as every school will teach the same things.
