It's just plain out annoying to see someone typing with bad spelling/grammar.

 

Oho, but my point is that right now you feel the same way Jultar does. It becomes quite annoying at one point, with people looking down on him. Sure, he may need to learn a little, but there's no need to put him down like that.

 

Look, I was telling him why people care. I honestly could care less how he spells or if he uses incorrect grammar. I have never even corrected him once. He asked a question and I answered. So there was really no point in what you did. Even if you were trying to prove a point, you did it wrong. And I didn't put him down.

 

I didn't direct this at you, I'm talking about the others.

I sometimes don't use apostrophies because when I make a post, I want to get it out as quickly as possible. Also I'm a terrible typer despite being 16. My typos and errors don't mean I'm lying about age.

 

I will stop as well. Apologies to those who I've offended, I was only trying to explain to Jultar why others find grammar important.

 

That's different. Apostrophes don't matter. but wen u tipe liek dis, It's annoying. And you don't. That's why no one has pointed out. (At least I think?) And everyone has typos :P

 

I agree with people that say you have to at least use fairly good grammar.
I am not saying it has to be extremely perfect, but I think it is very rude to replace are with "r" and you with "u" and such.
I also feel you guys are kind of overdoing the bad grammar. It isn't "wen" and "tipe" and those many errors. It is just a little bit of that most of the time, from what I see. This is just my opinion, though.

 

Because good grammar makes your post quality appear higher, and makes you a more likable and intelligent-looking person. Take the example of @speedy0114 - his grammar is so awful that his post quality appears to be awful as well. If you use proper grammar, you'll likely gain more respect.

I understand that some of you can't stand bad grammar...but seriously is it something to hound a person for? I mean really what if you were him...and every spelling mistake you made was corrected EVERY TIME YOU MADE ONE! I mean imagine how you would feel...I bet it would get pretty annoying...
that being said I do think that grammar is an important thing to know and you may just want to improve on it.

 

I don't know why. I just like using correct grammar and all that. It actually makes people think that I'm older than I really am.

In the end, what really matters is the content, as well as your message. You could have perfect spelling yet write posts that contribute nothing at all.

Why, back in the old forum there was someone just like that. Did he have bad grammar? A little. Did people believe he was mature and respectable? Yes.

Correcting peoples grammar won't make their grammar better. And if you all hate him anyways, why keep bugging and annoying him?
Oh, yeah EFDF says: "Well he annoys us too", that doesn't make you a better person right? No, it doesn't. Whenever you don't like a person, you ignore him, ignore his actions only if they were offensive towards you whos reading this, but then you report it instead of smacking something else in his face. The stupidity in correcting and annoying Jultar is high, I don't get why I'm the only one that realizes this. Yes, it's annoying to bad grammar and constantly spelling errors, but we all know how annoying it is to get corrected by someone, so you know how annoying it can be. Also the fact that you know what he means, then why correct his grammar when you know already? Everyone who hates Jultar is actually breaking a rule, rule number 3, I quote:

So, please just stop already. You were actually friends before, see what a simple game did? Apparently too much for you guys. Minecraft is not meant to create hate, it's meant to create joy for the players, not hate. And if you really have a problem with Jultar then just leave him. Yes, it's that easy. This is just a little pixel game, I literally facepalm every single time you guys say some stupid towards Jultar. It's actually very childish of both sides.
