A place for the fries and sauce itself, with a wooden fork which are usually only if the customer agrees to them. Many people prefer eating them with their hands instead of the provided (free) fork because it's much easier.
Just ordering fries and watching them get ruined by a big splurge of sauce is your own fault, you must specify to the owner how you want your product. It's like buying a brand new car, you choose the home system you want and what type seats you want. You don't just order the car and let the dealer do what ever they want, it's most likely not going to meet your specifications making it a waste of your money. You must speak up against these barbaric store owners who do this to you. You're being played.

And al though McDonalds fries hold their own to a certain degree, you cannot be more wrong that they are Willy the second (The king) in the world of fries. It's widely known that the farmers fries, the wider thin crunchy ones are king in the villages which end up being combined a much bigger proportion then a single city that relies on fast food places like McDonalds. And so do the regular type of fries hold their own in a majority of people who live in the city, it's what the majority grows up with and loves. French fries are in my opinion still a new thing, it's a hit or miss making it unreliable fries.

And eating the Dutch fries without sauce is a personal preference, I am a well thought out person and a man of many thoughts and thinks.
I wake up and know I want to experience the potato at its finest, cut up in strips and fried. Only sauce I can think of besides that is apple sauce, the combination of hot and cold, sweet and salty is a very underrated and overlooked concept. But I will stand by my word for life, that if you try it you will find out it's not bad. I disagree with people saying you'll learn to eat it, by that logic you can learn to eat grass. You must like it from the moment you put it in your mouth, or else it's a no go.

And yes, I am very proud to know potatoes are locally sourced. Instead of being mass produced and pumped up to grow within a short time span these potatoes have experienced the potato life. They went through weather and winds, awkward moments and natural growth with little to no pesticide. It's the freshest you can get, they are harvested with precision by the farmer assuring they are handled as softly as possible leaving no error for them to be mushed or bruised leaving you and myself with the best quality potato there is. Providing these to the right hands can lead to fries that dwarf the fries of any other big multi billion dollar company in the world. Also keeping in mind that they are prepared to order, whenever you get McDonalds fries it's a 50/50 on if they're going to be good or not. They're either freshly baked making them better, or they have been laying around for who knows how long cooling off and being exposed to the unnatural elements in the McDonalds kitchen. Then they are stuffed in a bag because it's all super fast paced which doesn't help with the overall look feel and taste of the food. I know that if I walk into a local where it's kind of busy but I see them take their respected time on their food that it will once again be a delicious feast for me and the people I am providing the fries too.

And my salt argument is true, I will say it once again but I stand by my opinion that Sea Salt is better on the ''Regular'' fries and that Kitchen Salt is better on ''French'' fries. The farmers fries are a different breed and are hard to put into a category, this cannot be taken as proof because this is purely personal but it's what I feel like at that moment. But then we take another proof here, Wrinkly fries are better with Sea Salt then Kitchen salt. Himalayan salt I have not been able to test out yet, mainly because it's a lot more costly then regular salt and having tasted it at family and friends I don't think it will add a lot to fries.
Don't believe me? McDonalds in the Netherlands uses Kitchen Salt (Table Salt) on their fries. Now, if you are able too buy and prepare your own fries or buy McDonalds unsalted fries and add a different salt to them. I will assure you, it will taste different.
Adding this later : Many only add salt yes, but there are some specialist who dare to add herbs or spices to them. Take Febo for example, it's not just salt but a spice as well. They're very enjoyable to eat, but it's a very risky step as 99% of our population are only used to salt.

And as for you saying that I am predictable, you are mistaken.
You do know that the ranking system for best fries is an absolute sham? It's bought and extremely biased by people in the area.
A local store stands little chance compared to a city giant because of the traffic in the area, a local store can become famous on it's own accord because they're in an ideal location for example. Where city or village or several villages meet on a ideal road with plenty of parking, and of course the food and the atmosphere is good. It's been proven time and time again that the system is used by the ones with money, and even used to drive competitors away or get them to sell their business by giving them the lowest score possible. But when checking out the place for yourself (or in this case news reporters) you will find that there is nothing wrong with the fries and that the reviews are as unreliable and bad as google reviews.

And now that I mention it, let's talk about the atmosphere in these places.
I'm sorry but every time I walk into a McDonalds I feel disconnected from the world, I walk in the gray place that is just there to do one thing and that is pump out food to the customer as fast as possible. When I walk into my local store (pre-corona) it would feel like a place to sit and wait for a while. A place where you could unwind from everything that happened today, or even meet another local you like and have a short empty chat with them which fills you with joy. I have never walked into a McDonalds or any other giant for that and felt calm while eating or had a chat with a stranger, it's rush hour and I am not staying on the highway. I am merging out through the villages and taking my time, greeting and catching up with people I know. And if I don't catch up with them, then at least I will get some recognition from the owner who will let me in return take a breath before leaving his store and facing the world again.

I mean for as far as I can remember I really liked that they added herbs and left a bit of skin on the fries.
They fill you up like crazy though, I got a lemonade as well there and I remember me and my ex falling asleep after at home and I woke up feeling like fries and lemonade was pumping through my veins for three hours.

mcdonalds for sure, they are salty and just perfect, and fried how i like my fries, all the other big fast food places in uk have bad fries (burger king and kfc especially) cant beat scottish chips though :D

We must never forget, the war than was fought here.
The remains lay in place, untouched by time. Memories of people who were part of our lives, who are now gone and moved on.

Every time I come back here, I see less remains than I did before. Nature is taking back this place, and it fills me with joy.
Nature will recover, and the memories will live on forever. I hope this war was documented, for as it was a slaughter. @ItsJerry stood no chance.
We must hold @Saul1337 accountable for his actions, and for the damages he's created.
But looking back at it all, can we blame them? It was a clash between two giants, two unstoppable objects who traveled their lives just to meet in this exact place. A tragedy? Or a beautiful coincidence.
