Community Experiment.

PotatoR, So have people in Factions, and Survival. People work hard building amazing, detailed structures, they are just simply behind obsidian boxes, we work hard, and so do the people in survival, there are TONS AND TONS of amazing structures, and the thing is, we have to gather the resources to build those things! We work hard to, If we are going to get reset, than so should creative, it takes us more effort designing and building because we have to gather, and we can't go in creative so we can't just break a 20x20 obsidian box in 30 seconds like the creative folk can... Point is, we gather recsources, we put the same amount of effort (if not more) than the people in creative, If everything is going to get reset, than Creative should to.

Also I'd like to bring up, Kit FullDiamond4 and any other kits/ranks are supposed to be lifetime ranks, so what's the solution for that.

And.. If we are resetting to let him noobs catch up and have a chance to be OP, new kids will come and not get the opportunity, and then demand a reset, so it'll just be an endless cycle that overtime, people will get tired of, I am already aware of at least five major players leaving the server because of us trying to fix something that can't be fixed.

Please don't restart factions, so many memories and everyone is going to lose all their stuff! Please don't restart it! I don't care about the other servers because I don't play of them but I also respect everyone else's opinions because they are going to lose memories and all their things. Please don't get rid of it!

 

ok seriously people have already left the factions server because of the "upcoming reset." a lot of the people here who commented here with "reset factions!!!" don't even play factions that often. it's annoying because if a reset also means that several people leave, then I don't think that's a smart idea tbh. one of my "good" friends left factions recently because of rumors about a reset at the factions server. please, please, please keep it the same, willy and dao.

i love factions but my faction has been destroyed no point to argue not to reset, i vote reset lets get a fresh start

 

Question,
Considering that I have obtained my wealth and relationships through hard work, and not just some kit or dup glitch. Should I agree to the reset so that all the new comers or "less successful" people would not have to put work into this? I came into the game two months after factions was created on the JerryandHarry Server, while all the other as you call them, "OP" factions had already existed.
I believe everyone should have a fair and equal chance to obtain wealth and have a good reputation on this server. However it should not come because someone gave it to them, which is suggested by resetting the Survival and Factions maps.

I for one, strongly disagree with resetting any of the maps, but as @Dirtbikes95 has suggested above. Perhaps a compromise could be reached.

 

The decision should be made soon. If that decision is to reset, it should be done quickly. At the moment, doing anything productive is a waste.

IMPORTANT SUGGESTION: I think there should be should be a SEPERATE thread in FACTIONS,CREATIVE,AND SURVIVAL. And every thread has their own whether that SERVER should be reset. As of right now this thread is biased. People are voting for resets even though they don't even play those servers. Also they want their server to not be reset BUT they don't do leave as is, they do RESET THE OTHERS.

 

To be honest, I'm OP on factions. I don't think there should be a reset . I have spent at least 100 hours on the factions server building bases, pvping, and making money. That would be a total waste.

 

TBH, I don't really care if Survival or Factions gets reset. Just not Creative. We already have our operation going on in Creative, and resetting it would make the operation useless.

 

Okaayy, I kinda feel a need to state my opinion on this since I've been wanting a reset for about a month now.

I believe that factions + survival should be reset, and I'm pretty much opinionless on creative (although I do agree with the idea of only resetting 2 + 3, since creative 1 has been there since the beginning of time)

So first off, I know people are already like "but pastel you don't even play factions or survival you don't UNDERSTAND"
Yeah, I don't play either anymore because it got boring (Plus, I've already been through ~3 resets, so I think I understand the situation)

Factions:
Some reasons I've seen on here are things like "we have OP things and we've worked so hard for them and now it's a total waste of time etc etc"

• The problem I see with this is that if this is the reason that people don't want to reset, it's only going to get worse as time passes. If we were to redo this poll in 3 months or so, people would make the exact same argument, and it'd be an endless loop. You guys have to face the fact that factions is going to have to reset one day, and I personally think that it's better if you do it now, instead of spending MORE time getting OP stuff, and complaining more when this happens again. Along with this, there was the EULA issue, and right now, factions is pretty unfair. Keep in consideration that non-donors probably don't have as much as you donators do, and the factions server is probably no fun for them right now.

Another thing I saw was "people are going to leave because of the reset and you guys are going to have less players and the world is going to end"

• Most of the people who said this probably haven't been on the server long enough to actually experience a reset here (I don't mean this in any bad way) and I think that you have yet to see how people react. This is the 4th survival-type world that I've been in on J&H, and the resets have actually brought in more people than you would think. People are saying that the "regular players" are leaving and that no one is actually going to play, but honestly, I think most of the regular players already left.

The last thing I've seen is mainly for people who bought a kit complaining that they've spent money and it'd be a total waste

• No offense or anything, but if there's still not a solution to that issue, that's not on our part. We can't just keep the same factions server forever so you can keep your stuff, that issue should have been resolved long ago (if it hasn't been already) and shouldn't be a reason as to why factions shouldn't reset.

Survival:
Yeah, there's not as many reasons to reset survival, but I think that most of us want a fresh start. I know the main issue here is that people don't want a reset mainly because of progress that they've made, but once again, we can't keep that forever. It makes more sense to restart now than to let you make more progress, and then cause even more disappointment once it's reset. In the survival before this one, I spent a tooon of time building and talking and mining for my factions, and I will admit that I was kind of upset when the world crashed and couldn't be recovered. A new start is always great though, more people come back onto the servers, make new factions, etc. NGL, I've personally been waiting for a survival reset now, and I hope it happens.

I know the people who still play lots on survival + factions don't want the reset, but look at the poll, and think about what the community wants.

 

Uh just sayin.... About a week after I started factions I gained about 3 sets of protection four... To this day I have not bought anything on this server with in real life money, and I have 23 sets of prot 4.

 

I've worked way too hard on my creative 1 plot. I really hope that it won't get reset.

I would HATE for creative to be reset. I have worked so hard on so many plots, being griefed, clearing, moving, all of those memories would be taken away. @TheUndeadBrave you would know as you have seen my plot and I have seen yours. As others have said, players could just add 1.8 blocks onto their plot without need of a reset. And if it will be reset to remove the sex clubs, it will only be a matter of time before people start building them again.

 

Yea ikr. Both our plots would take forever to build again.
And not just the sex clubs, all those inappropriate builds.

I agree with just survival and factions, but if you do reset any maps, maybe you could release a world map. You know, for people to be able to download and be able to look at all the memories or something, I don't know.

 

There are a couple of issues with releasing a world download:

1) The size of the file may be too large and it won't be a feasible option to download it.
2) People could use the map on their servers - essentially creating a spin-off version of the ItsJerryAndHarry server.
