A DEAD SERVER

I want the server to thrive, but the easiest way to do this is 'unoriginal' ideas, which as everyone knows contradicts the minigames we have. Adding original games takes time, and some people would just prefer to join one with lots of games instead. I believe we stick with trying to adding quality games but we need a team for this to make this process go a lot faster than just the owners making. This is already a suggestion by having a team creating the minigames. (I think.)
I also think the community side of things is what makes this server great but a incident involving the spawn for the server kind of got me irritated. I understand we should have a say in it, but it could've been dealt better on our behalf. The server needed to evolve and that was a good step, a efficient portal system and a nice build to give the server a more professional look. But as we know got demoted back to the old layout which I don't see to often now.

And for a message to people concerned about the server dying, When/if the server dies, I can assure we as a community will stay together. Many people rely on this forum to get help and make new friends. I have seen this server help many people get out of negativity and feel free to express their true selves. This community has its ups and downs but overall it is one of the best I have seen on any server in Minecraft. And that is better than Any minigame Hypixel or Mineplex came come up with.

 

I agree. Minecraft has a great history, but new stuff comes out every so often and when they do add stuff, it isn't that excited of stuff. But consider this, Minecraft may be dying, but dying is not dead. And what is not dead, can be saved. The question is, will Minecraft be saved? Sometimes when something is so hurt, it can't be saved, but I don't think Mincraft is in that position. For all we know, Microsoft could be Minecraft's savor. I do believe 1.9 will be there first update to mine craft that will add items. And if 1.8 was there first, who cares? It is in the past, what matters now is if Microsoft can pick up Minecraft.

 

Microsoft doesn't run updates for Minecraft, that's still Mojang. Microsoft just runs finances for Mojang, and offers suggestions for updates that are WIP.

And No, I don't think Minecraft can be saved. Minecraft's biggest problem is in Youtube. Content Creators for minecraft make an oversaturated amount of videos, with a minimal amount of actual content. It's like those "reaction" videos where 90% of the footage per video is just fattening filler. And the arguement "oh but there are good youtubers for Minecraft" can basically get put to rest when you realize that for every GOOD Minecraft recorder, there are 5 DECENT ones. And for every decent recorder, there are 10 absolute shit ones. So, while there so many good youtubers for Minecraft, there are many more bad ones. I think the Minecraft content community as a whole needs to address this issue and realize that content creation isn't for everyone, especially little kids who haven't started growing some hair on their face.

 

The whole Minecraft scene is losing more and more players. Hell i Barely play mc anymore, but I still come on this forum.
