Well, it's all based off of personal opinion. I personally liked Sacred Stones, but that is my opinion. Awakening is just popular due to graphics and such.
It's not that I think it's the best game. I'm really getting sick of all the Awakening (and Ike at that) love on the internet, and I thought I could turn to a voice of reason for some insight. Unrelated, I personally like Blazing Sword.
That was rather nice. And yes, I do see where you're coming from... I think they like Awakening for... Slightly perverted reasons. I checked in to see why they liked Awakening so much, and part of the reason were the female characters. I looked up Lucina and Cordelia, which seem to be the two of which people like the most... Goodness, don't even get me started on what I saw...
Don't forget Tharja, who only got popular because her controversy and outfit.
Another reason may just be accessibility and grinding, but I sort of think that defeats the point of Fire Emblem's EXP management.
Also MU, but I also didn't really like how he was a core part of the story, New Mystery did it better.
Yes, yes, I almost forgot about her... I love how Sorcerers use dark magic, but the least they could do is make it a little bit less... How can I put it... Exposing... And yes, that's true. The DLC of exp and gold grinding is unbelievably easy to beat. You can get up to 120 exp on the EXP grinding DLC and almost 100,000 gold in the gold grinding one.
As for My Unit, I sort of like him, but that is just because I love custom characters. Although, I must say, I do agree that New Mystery did it much better than Awakening did.
No, I took Japanese since 6th grade. Also, I played Fire Emblem 4, Sacred Stones on the DS actually. It was a type of downloadable thing my mother got for me. I asked her how, but she said it was a "Secret." I tried looking it up, but got no dice.
Pretty sure it's the Ambassador Program or something? Or if it's just flat out DS/DSi, then it's probably pirating, lel.
Also, am I the only who hates Ike for being flat and a Gary Stu?
