They'd better, as it's kinda bullshit for them to be okay with changing staff names but not the occasional user with a legit reason. Like yeah they can't change everyone's names, but why should staff get special treatment.
There was a user who wasn't staff who had his name changed. I think it was connor if you don't know him, he changed his name to connorh instead of some longer name.
I don't know him, but I remember things with him involved. He had a long name like yours before, so maybe he had the same issue, and hopefully they will change it for you.
