Because you need to practice
Here are a few tips:

- If you wanna practice on killing titans, go to Forest Survive in singleplayer.

- Try using the space button to get a better hold of the 3DMG

- Use characters with good special abilities, for example, Jean is great for beginners since his special ability is to escape a titan's hold if a titan catches him by hand.
