Hit that button, then hit the parts you want to draw. Like if your doing the skin hit the places where the skin will be. That lets you stay in the lines. When your done just use the deselect tool

That means theres a whole somewhere that you need to fill in. Like if you make a circle and it has an opening it will do that because it's not incased
