I was never staff for the popularity. That was an added bonus. I find staff who are quite clearly in it for the popularity to be less than adequate for the position, rightfully so as they aren't doing it to actually help.
I'm going to try and reapply end of 2017 when I have more time and am less stressed, but not before.
Stress and lack of enjoyment restrict the amount you help. If you don't even enjoy the rank, will you even enjoy helping? If you aren't happy, your mood reflects your actions and you act incredibly rude. That's something I was afraid would happen and therefore decided to resign to avoid my status as staff becoming negative.
I worked to get it neutral. I had 6-7 people dislike me beyond my staff title and that was due to punishments. Very little compared to others. And that's because I enjoyed my position. Positive attitude = positive reactions. And that's one thing I definitely noticed among my time as staff
That is why I respect you comrade, you made the right decision, especially for your well-being.
I never really said that you were staff for the popularity, but my point was is that you gave it up because you knew it would drag you down amidst your stress, and especially since your 'popularity' was at its absolute height and that you did not exploit it for attention, I salute you comrade.
Staff are naturally popular. They are our superiors. That doesn't mean they are better than us as people, but are held surprisingly less accountable for their actions. I never agreed with that but I held myself and close staff friends to that standard.
I'm happy to talk more about this later on Skype if you wish. Easier to explain there imo

And trust me, I think I said that in the past about staff members on multiple occasions, that staff members are human too.
Personally though, I think I have gotten the jist of it, and thank you my friend.
