Get the most recent model. Mine is from like 4 months ago and doesn't appear to be able to update past Lollipop (5).
My camera is bad and the phone *can* be slow but dad cheaped out and got 8gb storage so that will be why.
It's a pretty good phone but other Samsung models are generally better. Price wise? J series appears to be best bet. Good phone for cheap (this phone is like $150ish)
Well to be honest I'm not the greatest fan of Galaxy devices but the J series seems to have a really good battery due to the fact that they have a lower resolution screen, which requires less power. On the other hand, even the newer models still seem to have less RAM, which kind of concerns me...
The battery does last - with somewhat constant usage yesterday, I didn't need to charge my phone until 32 hoursish after I took it off initially.
The ram *can* be noticeable but usually it's pretty good.
I just have problems with snapchat freezing occasionally but no other apps do that.
If you're looking for a cheap but good phone, I say go ahead. Lollipop isn't that far behind and getting a better version of the J series may result in you being able to have Marshmallow or higher.
It's a smaller phone but definitely bigger than the iPhone 4s. Potentially even the 5.
If you're got bigger hands than me, some things may be a bit meh (my hands are like 13-15cm long from end of middle finger to bottom of palm) but it's not a major problem. The speaker isn't bad, and can get quite loud. The flashlight is good. I've dropped phone quite a few times and no visible signs of breakage so nice and strong. The home button is a bit meh but not problem.
I want to get a pretty good phone since I rarely change phones (I've been using the Nexus 4 for about 5 years, and it is my first phone). I'm actually thinking of getting the Nexus 5X since I've heard pretty good things about it, and I really like the Nexus series.
My hands are about 19-20cm long, so I don't know if I would want a really small phone haha
Weigh up the prices.
This phone isn't SO small. I'd size it to the 5/6 (iPhone). It's no 6+ however.
It's got a really good battery life - quite comparable to my new ipad, even better I would say.
And it's a cheap phone.
If the nexus is cheap, and got the battery life quality as well, I would say go for it.
But create a list and start comparing.
A big plus for the nexus is that you like the series.
I jumped from only iProducts to Andriod so it was jumping in the big end so I know how you feel about getting a phone different to yours.
Battery, camera, preferably Google Now launcher (although it can be applied manually), price is a pretty important factor too. I want something that would be pretty fast too haha
