I don't use samples lmao. I'm all about capturing that real sound. Despite the nightmare, mic'ing a drumset sounds amazing and is really fun to experiment in post

Don't need the super-cardioid bit, cardioid works just as fine, but the mic itself is important.. go check what mic it is

I'll check what brand, but just the raw sound of it is like a tom drum, it's disgusting. Down the road though I plan on investing in a new drumset.

True, could be the drumkit itself, but for a snare, ideal one to use is the Shure SM57, for Toms its the Shure PG56

k, I took a screwdriver to it, and tightened the snares 10-fold, now it actually sounds like a snare. Also changed the head bc this was the only non-rubber head(basically, you'll see what I mean in the video
