    combine the "x" terms 6x and -7x to get -x = 18 multiply both by (-1) and get x = -18

    You got it wrong.
    1. It was an equal sign.
    You could have plugged in zero for the equation
    And you get 0 = 0
    That is true
    I finally stumped ya ^.^

    uhh no.
    you have 6x-7x=-1x
    now we have -x=18
    Divide both sides by -1 and you have
    x=-18
    I stumped you, my friend.

    Umm excuse me, but just look at the problem in the first place. That can't be an equal sign. It should be: 6x ≠ 7x

    Its an equals sign.
    Plug 0 for x in the equation you get this 7(0) = 6(0)
    Apply P.E.M.D.A.S.
    You get 0=0

    Thus, 0 is a solution for this problem.

    I was talking to X the other day, and he said he didn't want to be zero. He wanted to be Kirito from SAO.
