SCP-173 is the greatest because it's historical. It's the first ever SCP. It's the reason why the Foundation exists. It's terrifying for me because blinking is a natural habit and a lot of things will force you to blink. It moves fast and tries to kill you when you blink.
My first one was SCP-049, The Plague Doctor. I have a lot of favorites: 049, 294 (The Coffee Machine), 451 (Mister Lonely), 504 (Crtical Tomatoes), 978 (Desire Camera), 666-J (Dr. Gerald's Driving Skills), and 1230 (the dream book). If I'm going to pick one of them, it's 049, just for the sake of being the one who got me hooked and to date the most interesting SCP.
By the way... there's a live-action SCP film coming out on summer (American summer). It's called "Containment Breach: Run". It's going to run from 20-30 minutes, featuring 049, 096, 106, and 173. It's a companion film to the SCP: Containment Breach game.
And the plague doctor, 049, reminds me of a profile picture you once donned. Might just be me though.
And I guess. It is "The Original," after all. I just find some a bit more... Gruesome than SCP-173. And I normally find the best in the imagery/imagination of the pain and suffering that one would experience because of the SCP's, such as the Dropera House, The Dungeon, etc.
I did use a 049 picture for a week. It was his article picture, but I thought it was too dark for a pink forums.
Agreed, because I find a lot more terrifying skips. 106, 096, Baba Yaga's Cottage, and a ton more in Series II. 106 terrifies me a lot. You know, I normally shun away from horror, but this Foundation is unique from other horror stuff.
