Let's just say nobody likes these news
So, good news, 1.8 should be able to come up soon! YAY!
Bad news, possibilities are that EULA takes place along with 1.8.
So, let me just explain.
Mojang announced that if the EULA took place, those who donated for the perks can keep the perks as long as others do the same, if not, then they won't get perks. So let's just hope everyone gets perks, if not, donators will just have made a waste of money, along with the rank upgrades.
"One major rule, you may not make money out of our game"
Obviously the server hosts have to do something about it, it would be unwise to shut down all of the multiplayer servers just because free servers aren't 24/7.
Also, realms can only have up to 20 players invited, INVITED. What if you're not invited to a realm?
Let's hope the hosts do something about the EULA, they'll need to do so, if not, servers are not going to work. Plus, the hosts ARE also making money out of minecraft, so they'll obviously have to do something.
Alright, discuss what you think about the EULA and what you hope the servers and hosts do (If you even read the whole thing, ofc.)

I know I will be warned for doing this, but if mojang thinks people will follow the EULA, they are retarded. Its their server, their rules.

Maybe Mojang should take a step back and think about what there doing.
They will most likely make more money selling minecraft accounts were people buy accounts and play on multiplayer servers.

So after the updates I bet most servers will crumble to shreds because of to enforcement. Mojang will crumble too.
I believe Mojang's realms won't go far and that their accounts they sell will also decrease as far as how many they sell.

I would rather donate for a big community rather than pay Mojang for a server that I can only play with 13 or so people.

EULA is also going to be hard for server owners. It takes money for them to run servers, and no one will want to donate for cosmetic reasons as much as they want to donate for reasons such as free items, flying, more creative plots, etc. This will also be annoying for OITC because now everyone will have x2 EXP or everyone will have x1. I think Minecraft could lose a lot of players this way. Servers won't be as fun anymore with everyone flying around as [Herobrine]. In my opinion, EULA is poop o_O

Any tools you write for the Game from scratch belong to you. . Modifications to the Game ("Mods") (including pre-run Mods and in-memory Mods) and plugins for the Game also belong to you and you can do whatever you want with them, as long as you don‘t sell them for money / try to make money from them. We have the final say on what constitutes a tool/mod/plugin and what doesn‘t.

 

Well, everyone is gonna keep their rank, or call it prefix if you like.
They are just changing the concept of Pay To Win. All cosmetic perks are still allowed.

All servers has to enforce this the first of August.

This is really just like when YouTube changes something, all features they create usually suck, but heck no they're not gonna change it back, even though 90% of the YouTube community want it to change.

So yeah, it sucks, but we just have to deal with it.

Pretty sure all cosmetic perks are kept, since they said that they were allowed.

Hi. I like how Mojang are finally enforcing the EULA. Most people are describing the enforcement as 'changing' the EULA; they are wrong.

EULA-- I think it's horrible, but losing perks isn't the end of the world.

Server hosts-- I have to complaint. I don't know what Mojang is thinking but that's what they get their money from-- and people downloading Minecraft.

Realms-- I dunno, because I don't play Realms. xD
