Kobe Bryant just died in a helicopter crash. To me, he was the best player in NBA history, best player I have ever seen. Any thoughts?
I grew up in Los Angeles for 14 years. I remember going to see Kobe for the first time when I was 8 years old. My dad had got court-side seats and he was literally right next to me. He asked me how much I loved basketball and I told him "more than anything." He told me that one day if I worked hard that I would make it to the NBA or anywhere I wanted in life. He was the reason I used to work hard to make myself into someone better. I still follow his words "Kid, if you got heart, you can make it anywhere". I grew up watching Kobe Bryant, and he was my role model. It shattered me when he died, and it still hurts. Kobe, wherever you are, I hope that God has blessed you, and I would want you to know that your legacy will never die. I will always be the same 8 year old kid who used to look up to Kobe Bryant. Not used to, who always will look up to Kobe Bryant. Rest in Peace Mamba. You will always be a big part of my life <3.
