why oh why did this take so long to make

i have made a breakthrough
at least it's one for me

so yeah
I have a website. I wanted to have a search thing. And I FINALLY got it to work the way I want. (that includes keeping the search query in the text box, and some other stuff)

So, yeah.
I felt like I should put some screenshots so you can see what I've been working on.
Here they are!



Note the difference between each search query.
If you search for "e", I have programmed the search so any user or thread with an "e" in its username/title will appear.
Now, look at the second picture. I search for "the". Since there is no thread with the word "the" in its title, but there IS a user, it will show the user but not the thread.

And now, look at the third one. Same thing as the first.

Anyway, I just thought this was pretty cool.
