So, I've bought Fallout 3 and thus far, enjoyed it a lot. The story, the characters, the settlement, the choices and mutated monsters made my journey more epic than ever! Everything seemed okay until I ran into a forum asking why Fallout 3 "sucks" and I had seen some really heart-breaking responses. No, not because they were correct, because of how much hate was put into those comments.

On these types of forums Fallout 3 is always compared to its giant DLC, New Vegas. And most of the people were over praising New Vegas that I was just disgusted. Yes, New Vegas is a good game, but you don't throw a pile of crap on FO3 Because of this! In short, I'm here to clarify why New Vegas is better than The 3rd Fallout... And it's not because of the game itself but the story.

Let's start off with the fact that FO3 is a game with a good story too, but has a moral a little more simple to understand. The reason people love New Vegas is because story, decisions etc. drive the story and don't make everyone happy. The decisions are all gray, when in FO3, the decisions are black/white. Well, shut it... Yes the decisions are easier to make in FO3 but the 2 games are about different things!

FO3 is about how bad wars are. About how painful it is to live without food, water and always in danger. The most memorable FO quote "War never changes"... is basically saying that war is always disgusting and bad. This game is incredibly gross, and it is, you'll agree with me. There are poles with PEOPLE on them! There's slavery, prostitution, criminalism, terrorism (Mr. Bunker who wants you to blow up Megaton) and the government who doesn't help but talk to this stupid microphone saying how good they are...

FO: NV is about a different topic, is about life in general. The fact that at the end of it all, you won't manage to make everyone happy. The wasteland isn't even really a wasteland! The cities are completely fine and looks like there's no threat to them what so ever and no one is really struggling to survive... This game is about making a choice.

And I entirely agree with the fact that FO:NV was written a lot better and is more intriguing and fun than FO3, but FO3 is supposed to be emotional and sad! No shit it will be somewhat boring! If there would be a book about it or a movie, these arts would be in the adventure/drama sections. So before throwing some more crap at FO3, think... was it because they suck at writing or is it because it was supposed to be like that...

In short, FO:NV is better because it's more fun... And gamers play games for fun...

But hey, I could be wrong on that point, what do you think?
