Why do I have no interest in math?

Is it just me, or am I the only one who has absolutely no interest in Math? I am serious. I am positive there is not one time I have passed Math in my life. I just don't find Math interesting at all. I see no point to it. I know I can pass math and work, but its just boring and there is nothing fun to Math. All I do in math is play on my phone along with others. My teacher is pretty chill about it. He tries to help but I pay absolutely no attention. I mean I currently have A: But as soon as a test comes in that grade will Poof drop to an F right away. So is there any way you guys think I could get better at math? I have tried tutoring oh god and they did not go good at all! Haha I am telling you guys I find absolutely no interest in math.

 

Try doing harder maths.
The easier it is, the less fun.

Unfortunately, you have to take interest in math. Your brain and body does in order to know how to walk, how much water to put in a glass before it goes everywhere, etc

 

If you're taking the IB program, switch from Math SL to Math Studies, it will be easier for you.

 

It may be too easy for you. Like Mappy said. Try some harder math. Its more thinking. Its fun to think.

But it can be frustrating. Maybe your not one of the math people. Find another hobby in school. (Or wherever you do math)

 

Take an advanced course. Most well-paying careers use math, so find a type of math you don't find boring and use that for guidance on a career.

Engineering usually requires physics, geometry, trigonometry, algebraic equations, etc.

Programming uses various forms.

Accounting is kind of implied with "counting" in the name.

 

Do you think it's hard/complicated or do you just hate math (or both)?

 

No. Math is easy af its just boring and like Mappy said,

Yea I might try that. Maybe just because the math is easy it just gets boring and it doesent make me thing hard enough or as hard as I should.

 

I think that when you are learning math it can be quite a big challenge. But, I love math when it's hard but not too hard.
