Divergent literally "diverged" from the book, adding in examples that may not have hurt in the first movie, but forced the second movie to be painfully bad. I got no enjoyment out of Insurgent whatsoever... And if Divergent didn't set up badly, that could have been different. The Percy Jackson movie was even more painful, abandoning the book even more. Annabeth with BROWN HAIR? Yeah, no. There's a line in the ground, and they crossed it in so many ways. Even without the necessary book points, it was so ridiculously bad in how they carried out the plot. No flow, no structure... Just ew. The Maze Runner book was disjointed, so it didn't surprise me when the movie was too. It was just bad. It bored me. No interest there. Both Hunger Games movies were incredibly true to their respective books, and they made for interesting movies. They were great. But I'm sorry, Harry Potter was masterfully done. The Harry Potter series easily takes the cake.
The only one I like out of those is Maze Runner, I like the Percy Jackson books but not the movies. and why only book to movie adaptations? There's so much more original movies out there. And you even forgot a few Book to movie adaptations, For example; Enders game, which was amazing.
