So yea, i made a thread on how the server is improving and growing! It was an awesome thread and I love how i got all the support and likes Thank you guys Two weeks later I look, i see two threads on how the server is taking a fall Just What the firetruck Seriously, is that what i get after i make a thread SUPPORTING the server?! That just frikin makes me want to yell at the top of my lungs Seriously, i mean, if i post another nice server thread will i get hate threads coming after that? I guess i just cant post anything nice on a thread about the server anymore Just. Wow So angry Much steam Such red Very mad Wow
Hate threads are okay as long as their expression shows full detail of why they don't like it and a considerable amount of reasoning to back up their opinion. Although, you did make a nice and good thread but the key factor for hate threads is basically because they rage. Just because it's after yours doesn't mean that they want to counter it. Maybe it was just a coincidence or possibly because they didn't even notice it. Yes, this server is going on a downfall but it is rising up each time that happens. It will have its good season and its bad season and basically, it's a rotation around those 2. Overall, haters will hate but it might not be a counter of 'supportive' threads like yours. Even then, it could be a good hate thread (somehow) but the only threads that we don't like are: 1. Rage threads. 2. Threads without correct English. 3. A massive wall of text with no paragraphs. 4. No reasoning behind their point. 5. A couple of sentences with hate only. 6. Swear city... 7. Very, very inconclusive threads. 8. Criticism that isn't constructive. 9. No evidence of them expressing their opinions in a civil way.
There is no way mine was a coincidence. My thread, which I am guessing is one of the two pointed at in this thread, is directed at his thread. Noah's thread: The server is getting better. It was a thread saying how far we have come as a server. My thread: 'The server is getting better'. MY thread, was about some things the server needed to fix. Therefore, it was a negative thread. 1. Mine was not a rage thread, more an explanation thread. 2. My english is above normal for my age, so I was fine there. 3. I had a lot of text, but it was sectioned off, so I guess I was fine there. 4. I had reasons. To explain my point of view and get things answered/changed. 5. I had a lot of text, not all was hate. Actually, little was hate. 6. Barely any swears, 0-3 if that. 7. It concluded, that's for sure. 8. Mine was constructive. 9. I spent that weekend before posting talking to a bunch of people gathering information, and said everything as nice as I could, and as straight to the point as I could.
It was not directed at you and you only. This was basically directed at the community as a whole group of people. When hate threads pop up with one of the following nine, we seem to end up not even caring as we see it happen all the time. Although, a constructive thread is much more helpful and into the point with a brief explanation showing the readers why it's bad in one way or another.
