Minecraft Well, I messed up. [Need Help]

So, I decided to change my Minecraft username to FirstMateStar for a little while as kind of an inside joke.


All seems good, right?
Let's go ahead and boot up the game.

Huh, that's odd. Still my old name.
Whatever, the game will probably still work. I'll try going on J&H.

...crap.

And I tried other servers too. None of the ones I tried work (Singleplayer does work though).
This has been going on all day and never updated. I'm getting concerned since every other name change I've done has worked perfectly and took effect right away.
Is there any way I can fix this? Or am I just going to not be able to play MC for a month?

 

This has happened to me before. I think you just need to wait a bit. That's what I did and it worked perfectly fine for me after.

How long ago did you change your name?

 

Try logging fully out of minecraft, then re-logging into it. Like logging out of your Mojang account. On the minecraft log in.

 

Earlier today. Early PM or late AM.

 

log out, then log back in

 

Well I've heard that Mojang say on Twitter said to fully log out of the game, and restart.

 

Like everyone is saying log out, then log back in.

 

• Close out minecraft entirely
• Reopen it
• Click "Switch User"
• Relogin with your Mojang account email and password

 

It should still work if it shows your old name. It still shows my old name and I'm online.
