This server is burning

Everything is decreasing on this server, The blood in its veins have stop flowing as it dies out. I assume this server will be shutting down soon. I had some good memories on it, though. Everyday theres less people on it, and then less staff on.

 

Well, I honestly don't get your points. The server is at it's best that it has been in years. More and more players are joining the community, and the whole place just keeps growing. IJAH is literally becoming an "huge" server, if it wasn't one already. If you mean that more "old" players are leaving, then I understand. Some people do leave, but it mostly for a good reason. They most likely don't have interest in staying here/have irl issues to deal with/etc. The server is growing so fast, that there's no way it'll shut down anytime soon. Unless there is a very, and I mean very good reason for it.

 

It's not just J and H, Minecraft is falling apart. Earlier, I told someone that Minecraft may be dying, but dying is not dead. It could be picked up by Microsoft, 1.9 will be there first update where they add items. They could save Minecraft, or maybe Minecraft is so close to death that it is too late. You can never know.

 

Now this, I agree with.
My opinion is that minecraft loses it's originality with every update.
Like, why do we need wings? Why do we need shields? Why do we need special arrows? Minecraft is turning into a mod itself.
I hope Microsoft does a tribute for the 2.0 update. Something special. Something the remaining minecraft community will love.
But I do agree that minecraft is slowly dieing off.

 

Microsoft has no influence on minecraft in game, so 1.9 isnt created by microsoft

 

Well to be honest it's because people have grown. I'm almost 18, so I lost interest.
Well, not EVERYONE who is a grown-up stopped playing minecraft, which is fine.

And you'd expect this generation's kids to join this game but honestly nowadays they're so focused on other things like PS4 or Xbox One.
People nowadays don't play computer games that much like in the past.

 

I will be honest, This server is going downhill... Just a month ago there were 70-80 players on kitpvp every day, now there is only about 25-30 on weekdays, and around 60-70 on weekends. Not trying to down this server though! Agreed with Xad!

 

It's not the server that's losing popularity, it's the game itself. Majoring releases new content inconsistently, and rarely. Minecraft isn't a complex game like others, so it will have to die out eventually, it's already gone past it's peak point, and heading down the steep slope.

 

The thing is, Minecraft has been going down a steep slope for about 6 months now.

Well, what does that mean? Not only is J&H loosing players, but every other server in MC is also loosing players, too.

Exactly what Unit said above, and yeah, not everything lasts forever.
