So, as you know that 1.9, or the combat update was released almost a week ago now and there are a lot of things changed. In my opinion, I think it's a mediocre update, sure I like the wings and shields (goes well with my Kirito skin :D), but one thing I need to ask is What's going to happen with UHC? As a member of Team Heroic, the largest and most powerful clan in UHC, and my IGN being a common sight on the leaderboards, I want to know whats going to happen with UHC in 1.9. This question is being asked because of one certain thing they did in 1.9. They removed Golden Apples. DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!! But yeah, as you may know if any of you have ever played UHC, gapples (for short) are a HUGE part of UHC. Never mind the gapple (Credits to @DeoxysPvP @Diffracting and @Electric_Demon for this god apple. gg indeed.) But god apples are rarely made in UHC, meanwhile the likes of me get a gapple almost every single game we play. But with gapples removed will there be a second-rate substitute, I've never heard of anyone using a re-inforced player skull, so if anybody knows what its effects are then please do say. Normal player heads only heal 2.5 hearts when used, so they're not the best method. As for gapples, they heal 8 hearts at a time. God apples are.... God mode (@Diffracting should know, since apparently he's a "God" xD) They heal you completely, if you didn't guess But anyway, I want some staff member or owner to post down below on what UHC's future will be, I don't want to lose a game that I really like a lot. Golden Apples are still in the game but have no crafting recipe. I'm sure J&H can add them back with a custom crafting recipe.
J and H can disable all of the 1.9 combat features and Gapples are still in the game. Even though they are no longer craftable they can probably make plugins to make them craftable again.
Yep they can make them craftable again as Golden Heads arent a thing in game itself and you can craft them
