Okay so I have never wrote a story before and I am bored, so I thought that I would.

The story will take place on a stranded island of course (eventually), but how the people get there is a story on its own.
I hope you enjoy this story.

    Stranded Island
"Joseph, what's wrong?", the teacher had asked me yesterday.
"Nothing", I had said with a despairing tone.
The teacher was always questioning me in some deranged way, which is why I frequently did not respond back to her. She was onto something though, because I was not in the best of moods and in some way, I felt like she could tell.
I was in a poor attitude, because it was the day that my parents had to go on their daily "job-vacations" as they called it. It was a word, which I was familiar with, and knew that it was just a intricate way of saying work away from home, which in my mind sounded awful. My parents were both doctors and often traveled to help ill people from other countries. I never for a second thought it would be bad to be home alone for a week by myself, until I had the "opportunity" of having the most boring day of my life last time they left. This time around, I wasn't just going to sit at home all day playing videogames. The only thing that could supply a form of entertainment for me to do for a whole week was a vacation. Yes, I know a fifteen year old going on a vacation by himself? Crazy right. Wrong! I knew that my parents would leave the house, trusting me to stay settled and calm, but they are obviously incorrect! I stayed calm the next couple of days until Friday, which is when they finally departed to Africa. I did the normal "bye" and "love you" words, but as soon as they jumped in the car and disappeared, I went into some "lunatic mode" and sprung towards my phone. I picked up the phone and dialed the only person I could trust to keep a secret and who I also arranged to go on a vacation with. It was my friend Patrick. Patrick was a pleasant and enjoyable person to be around. We knew each other from school and we had quite a slew of classes together. He was one of the only people that I could really stand at school and we were even around the same age, with him being four days older than me.
As the phone rang, I was shaking from excitement, then when he finally answered I told him about our little idea again. He seemed forgetful at first, but quickly remembered what we had arranged last week. I asked a great deal of questions, because at this point, I was confused on how we would be going about with the plan to go on the vacation. It boggled my mind that in just a couple of days we would be going on a vacation to somewhere, a place that at the time, we had no idea of. Thinking about the questions that I had just asked him, Patrick quickly told me that he would text me the info later and answer the questions that I had. I responded with a uncertain "okay" and that was it. At around 6:30 PM, I was really anxious to get the text from Patrick, but patiently waited. Finally, at 7:00 PM, I had received the following message, which read:

Sorry for the delay, but I had to re-arrange some events to make this whole thing happen.
I told my dad that I was coming over to your house, like you had told me to and he said okay.
I have my bag packed and I am coming over now.
When I get there, tell my dad that your parents left to go do something, so that way he won't know what is up.
Also, in case you were wondering, I convinced my older cousin to buy us tickets to go to Hawaii. I guess saving money isn't so bad, even though the money is coming from my college fund. Don't worry though, my cousin said that we would be able to replace the money before my parents even find out. Luckily, he is older than 18, so he will be able to get us on the ship to finally set sail, without people questioning us. The cool part is that the tickets were actually surprisingly cheap for a vacation to Hawaii and it didn't really "break" the bank.
See you in about 20 minutes.

    To be continued...

Any comments to improve my writing skills or even comments saying if you liked the beginning of the story or not would be appreciated.

By the way, Patrick is @Stockable c:

Love it Joseph! I like where this is going. I'm curious to know what will in the next chapter.

You should really make a book about this in the future.
