Storytime with Expedect - 1 My (first) Iceland experience Don’t mistake this with my Iceland “vacation” this week, I went before, but it wasn’t intentional. We had a connection flight from the London airport to Iceland to Baltimore on our flight home in DC. The flight to Iceland was delayed, and this already spells bad news for connection flights. When the plane finally landed in Keflavik, the pilot said the gate numbers, and as we headed to the gate we literally saw OUR plane take off. We, and a few other connection flyers went to the WOW airlines desk and discussed the matter. Since no other airplanes flew to Baltimore that day, WOW insisted to give us a hotel room at an unfinished hotel and a complimentary dinner/lunch, along with breakfast in the morning. The hotel wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. Turns out people in Iceland really do believe in trolls. We had a room with a shared bathroom and small beds. Later on, the food in Iceland is... not very good to put it simply. It wasn’t terrible, but Iceland is only good the first time you go. That’s all for now; cya.
When we went to Glasgow this summer we flew on Icelnad Air, which means a stop in Reykjavik (KEF). I was only on the ground for a few hours, but was stunned by how beautiful the country is. Iceland looks like an amazing country and I really hope to go back one day.
We usually go to St. Petersburg (which is in the European part of Russia) every year for about 1-2 months to visit family, it's really nice there but it's also kind of sad to see how the Soviet Union has effected it and everyone there
