(Story's new name) Tampered (The Beginning)

I'm going to make a new story and try not to drop it this time. I don't know what to name the story so if you want to reply a suggestion for a title.


Prologue


X was lying in his bed wide awake. Everyone else in the cold room was fast asleep. X was lying there wondering what to expect the next day. It had been so long since he was able to leave the facility he was stuck in. For nearly four years X was a test subject used to enhance human abilities. He was only allowed to leave when a break in the experiment happened in which results in success.
He always stayed up late at night, wondering why his name was one letter. There were other boys in the same room with him, all named after letters of the English alphabet. X looked out at the moon giving life to the night sky, as the silence of the room soothed him. The silence was ruined when Q began snoring. X rolled his eyes, rolled over and attempted to sleep.


Chapter 1



X was blankly looking down at his tray the next morning. He looked out the window once again to see the morning sun illuminate the area. The sun looked so beautiful. His gazing was interrupted when scientists barged into the small cafeteria to make an announcement.
One of the scientist tapped into a mic plugged into two speakers that were installed in the cafeteria God knows how long ago.
"Good morning," he said excitedly through the mic, "I have come to share you wonderful news, there has been a break in the experiment and we would like to see these subjects in the lab when I call out your name,". He read through a whole list of names that called up 22 out of 25 subjects to the lab. Only three people were left in the cafeteria X, A, and Q.
The scientist walked out of the cafeteria slamming the door behind him. All of a sudden an ominous clanging sound was echoed all around the cafeteria. It only took a second for the three boys to realize something bad was going to happen, when all of a sudden they dropped onto to the floor unconscious.
X woke up slowly but surely. His vision was blurry for a few seconds, until the lights in a small room filled the entire room. A screen in front of X and the two other boys appeared, rolling these words across the screen.

X, A, and Q. You three are the only test subjects that met our requirements during the breakthrough of the experiment. All other subjects were escorted to the laboratory where they were injected with a lethal medication that killed them minutes before you regained consciousness. We will begin to test and see what the ehancemants we tested on you are capable of. Test #1, attempt to find a way to exit this room. There is no time limit, take as long as you want.

The three boys looked at each other in fear as the screen cut to static then short circuited.
