@TreeKillerMan2 there's my story I promised that I would make. August 2154 Overpopulation is becoming a problem on planet earth. There isn’t enough space for everyone to live. People are dying of hunger and thirst because of the lack of resources. Scientists and governments have been thinking for years about what to do in order to save the human species and animals as a whole. Scientists have finally decided to take action. The decision they’ve made? Move two thirds of the human population on planet mars. Scientists remember when humans traveled to mars for the first time. It was in 2018. Back then, snow was still falling during winter in northern countries. Water in lakes was clean and pure and we didn’t need to filter the water in order to drink it. Yes, maybe we could get sick after drinking it, but at least it wouldn’t automatically kill us like nowadays. Nowadays, we can only drink milk, juice and heavily filtered water, and if we continue like that, we won’t have anything to drink in the next two years. People back in 2018 didn’t see what they were doing as a problem. People were killing each other, huge companies were making trillions and wouldn’t donate to people in need and they were polluting planet earth. But everything was all right, humans were doing personal gain. Who needs to help anyone when you can gain, right? Well, we can see the effects this mentality did to us, in 22nd century. But anyways, back on topic. Tomorrow, 14 billion people are going to mars in a spaceship no larger than the province of Saskatchewan in Canada. I will be one of those people. We will be very tight in that spaceship, but it shouldn’t take too long due to this new technology that lets vehicles travel at the speed of light. I received mail today explaining to me that it would take no more than 182 seconds to get to mars in that spaceship! That’s one heck of an achievement considering that it took 300 days to get to mars in 2018… The spaceship will not only have 14 billion people, it will also have 1 billion gallons of water, 600000 pounds of seeds to start farming, materials to build houses and a lot of trees. Let’s hope everything goes well because there’s a ¼ of a chance that we won’t make it there… I am very nervous about going to mars tomorrow. I really hope I won’t die. However, that’s for the best that we’re doing this. There will only be 16 billion people left on earth left when we’ll arrive there. I also hope the population won’t be too excited and start killing each other while going out of the spaceship. But hey, there’s danger everywhere. It’s just a bit higher there, right? Now I think I’m going to sleep to not be too tired tomorrow. It will be a big day for me and 14 billion other people. The spaceship arrives at Freiburg, in Germany at 2PM tomorrow, so I have to be sure to arrive there in time. Since I live in Vantaa, in Finland, it will take quite a while for me to get there and there will be a lot of traffic. ~~~~~~~~~ Let me know if you want more of this story :)
