So this is a new story I've been working on for a long time now, and before you start reading here's a few things. This story takes place in Skyrim. Skyrim is a fantasy game that takes place in a made up land, you might have heard of it before. and it has A LOT of lore. so in the future I'm going to make a thread to cover that up, along with some stuff in the story that won't not make sense if you haven't heard of this. but for now just have these:

Okay, now for the story. I hope you all like this, It's the first story I've done in a while, and I'm already working on more chapters.

    Prologue

Rinduin Nightwood, Wood Elf (a.k.a Bosmer)

Rinduin was born in on 4E 175 during the great war between the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion, which were two of the biggest armies in Tamriel. He lived his first ten years in a village called Thormar Keep in Valenwood, but he never loved his life in Valenwood, becuase at the age of four, Rinduin Nightwood's mother died of Ataxia. so he only lived with his father, who spent most of his time doing his job as a town guard, so Rinduin didn't see him often. and then at ten years old, his home town was destroyed by a large clan of Khajiit bandits trying their luck in Valenwood.
Many of the town guards were overrun due to the advantages of the Khajiit. The battle started on the ground, just north of the village. half of the bandits came in from the front to get the guard's attention, while the other half of the bandit clan advanced from the treetops, attacking the tunnel-visioned archers with their claws. The reason the guards didn't see the treetop attack coming is because the Khajiit were actually above them, on smaller branches, because of their light weight and better balance. Rinduin's village would've been wiped out if not for the commander of the town guards, who ordered a retreat after noticing the suprise attack from the atop the trees. A quarter of the guards were instructed to get as many people out of the village as possible, while the rest formed a small defense between the bandits and the village. the line of defense was broken shortly after the village was evacuated, and the only about ten of the citizens made it out of the village alive, along with the few guards instructed to evacuate the villagers. Rinduin's father died as part of the line of defense. Rinduin's last memory of his hometown was of it being burned down by magefire.
After a while of being pursued by the Khajiit bandits, Bosmer reinforcements were dispatched from one of the larger cities to help get the last of the townspeople to safety. and he spent nine years in an orphanage in southern Valenwood. later on, he still lived in the orphanage, but he was able to get a job at a nearby village. In his freetime he trained in archery and stealth. and at the age of nineteen, he had finished making preperations to move to Skyrim and build his own home, which he'd dreamed of doing ever since he first heard about the province of Skyrim in the Orphanage as a little boy. It would be a four day journey out of Valenwood, across the Imperial province of Cyrodiil, and into the welcoming arms of Skyrim. Atleast it would be by carriage. But he wasn't the only one making the journey, His older cousin Gerephor would help accompany him on his way to Skyrim, but sadly, Gerephor wouldn't be staying with him, since he had his own family in Valenwood. Gerephor loaded the last of their gear onto the carriage.
"Are you ready?" He asked Rinduin, who smiled.
"Yeah, I have everything I need." He said. Gerephor waved back at his family, then Gerephor took the reins and they were off to Skyrim.

Yay a new chapter, even though it's a double post
    Chapter 1
    The Moth priest

    4E 195
Cyrodiil was an Impressive and Interesting place. The start of it was plains which was where they made their first stop in the city of Skingrad to buy some Extra lumber , after that the plains slowly turned into a forest. Unlike the trees in Valenwood, these were Pine trees, which Rinduin had never seen before, but the most impressive part of Cyrodiil was the White-gold tower standing tall in the middle of the Imperial City. After they'd passed the city there were less trees, the road had begun to disappear due to falling snow, and the sun had gone down. But they couldn't stop now, the nearest town was now Helgen, which was still pretty far away. Then they saw the old man, who seemed to be headed in the same direction as Rinduin and Gerephor.
"Hello?" Rinduin called. The man turned around.
"Oh hello, Are you headed to Skyrim?" he asked.
Rinduin and Gerephor exchanged glances. "Yes, why?" they said in unison.
"Oh good! I was wondering if you had any room on your carriage, see, I need to get to Skyrim as soon as possible." the man said. Rinduin looked to see if they had roon left in the Carriage, One side was filled with Logs but the other had some room left for seating.
"We have some room left, hop on." he said.
"Rinduin, are you sure?" Gerephor asked.
"It'll be fine, he's just an old man, what's the harm?" Rinduin said under his breath. The man climbed into the carriage and they were moving again.
"So who are you?" Rinduin asked the old man.
"Oh, I forgot to Introduce myself!" The man said. "I am Dexicon Evicus, A moth priest of the Empire." He said.
"Y-you mean the group of people who go out looking for the Elder scrolls?" Gerephor asked in astonishment, while Rinduin was still trying to process what he had just heard.
    "Well, yes." Dexicon said.
"Then where exactly are you headed?" Rinduin asked.
"Nowhere specific yet, but you can just drop me off at Riverwood, I'll make a plan from there." He said.
"Glad you want to go to Riverwood, that's exactly where we're headed." Rinduin said.
"Oh really? that's g-" Dexicon stopped talking.
"What is it?" Rinduin asked, then he heard it too, howls piercing through the night.
"We must move quickly." Dexicon's voice turned to a dramatic tone, He summoned a shock spell on one of his hands. and drew a Single edged ebony blade with the other. "I'd love to move quickly, but this horse can only go so fast, especially with a full carriage, but I'll try." Gerephor said. The sounds of wolves were getting closer Rinduin looked towards the back of the carriage, he thought he could see a figure moving, but it was hard to tell with the heavy snow and no sun. but then Dexicon summoned a spell. he raised his hand and a ball of pure light formed in it. he spread his hand out, like he was letting go of the spell, then the ball of light hovered over him and stayed there - a candle light. Then out of nowhere, A wolf jumped into the light. Rinduin nocked an arrow with lightning fast speed and let it go, The wolf was about to jump again, then he stopped abruptly, an arrow stuck out in between the wolf's eyes, then it fell. then much more wolves came into sight.
"I count eight or more, Gerephor, can we go any faster?" Rinduin asked urgently.
"Not unless we get rid of some weight." Gerephor said. The wolves were now on the sides of the carriage, if they tried to bring down the horse, it would all be over. Rinduin didn't have a sword, and wolves on the side of the carriage were too close for archery. so he tried leaning over and smacking one with his bow. the wolf fell behind, but it wasn't out of the fight, it simply shook it off and kept running. and Dexicon was busy kepping the wolves off of the other side of the carriage He had stopped using his sword and now had two shock spells. Rinduin shot another wolf at the back of the carriage with his bow, and he was out of the fight, but they were outnumbered, and he realized there was more running through the trees alongside the road, waiting for the right oppurtunity. Then he remembered they needed to get rid of weight. He lifted up one of the logs and pushed it off of the back of the carriage, crushing three of the wolves, the others behind of the carriage the back managed to dodge it.
"We're going faster, keep it up!" Grephor said. then one of the wolves almost got side to side with the horse, trying to snap at it. Rinduin unsheathed Dexicon's sword and swung it at the werewolf. then he turned and pushed another log off of the carriage, this time it didn't smash any wolves, but they were going much faster now, and the wolves were getting tired. The wolves started to fall behind untill they we're all behind the carriage, and Rinduin could use his bow again, finally the wolves decided it was no use, and stopped pursuing the carriage.
"We did it!" Gerephor said. Rinduin sat down wih exhaustion, he realized how tired he was, and then he fell asleep.
