Staff inactivity

Ok, I see alot of people complaining about staff being "inactive". From now on, stop complaining about this, we get the message, but first, lets give some reasons why we have been inactive
Daily lives of staff:
1. School
2. Homework
3. Family stuff/chores
4. Work
5. Sleep

On weekends, we try to be more active, but we shouldn't have to be on this server all the time. We should be able to have free time to do other things. Some of us have to take care of other servers too. Minecraft isn't our life, it's a game. We shouldn't put a game before everything else. We have to give time to people in our real lives, like our friends, etc.

Another thing, "get new mods". Well we need more time because in order to get more staff, we need to train them and supervise them very often, which takes up a lot of time.

Sorry, but I have to say this: shut up. What Im trying to say here is just, stop talking about the negative things of this server. The more its discussed, the more negative this place will get. So one challenge I want to put to you all (shouldn't have to be a challenge) is to be positive, say positive things. If someone is doing something wrong, tell them what they can improve on instead of getting angry at them. Even if they are being rude to you, you dont have to get angry at them because its apart of life. You get people who will do the wrong thing. If they are doing something wrong like spamming, dont say "Dont spam" it can encourage some to continue. So, instead you can say, "Spamming isnt allowed, read the rules in the book at spawn" or something. Also if you are going to report them for continuing, dont tell them you are reporting. It can get them mad and possibly want to spam more, making it worse.
Adding to this, if you stay positive around here, being a happy community, the new people will feel more welcomed. If some newcomers feel unsafe, that puts a bad reputation on the server and our owners. If you are leaving the server, dont put "this server is so shit" or anything like that. Its uncalled for and disrespectful. We dont want negative opinions when you leave...there is no point. This includes the survival complaints. If its gone, its gone. If its coming back, it will come back when the time comes.

As some of you have realised, I havent been as active as I used to be. I started school about a week or two ago and its been really busy as I have to get ready for the hardest part of my senior school life and so I cannot have any distractions. Im sorry for that. Also, we have been getting pretty bad weather, storms to be specific. As from now, I will try my best to come on the weekends.

So guys, please just, be considerate. Think of how the owners are taking all this negativity. We know you are there but you arent our first priorities, and you need to understand that. We all want to see a boost in happiness around here, and that can only happen with you guys cooperating. Instead of putting threads about the negative stuff, you can tell me in pm :D

If you guys have anything to say in response to this, pm me, feel free to tell me anything server related. Thank you for reading. :)

True. Staff can't be online for every hour. But, maybe some of you have seen, I've been inactive. Yes, I have the same reasons as Staff Members. But most of them are; School, Homeworks and I have a lot of exams. And I have y irl friends.. Just let people know. Lol. But yeah, stop complaining. More Staff coming soon. (I think)

 

People just have to realize Staff Members and higher are normal people too.

 

like everyone has said, STAFF ARE NOT MACHINES they can't be on the server and forum 24/7 they have lives, family, friends and other stuff. also there are timezones and staff cannot be on in all timezones which means they may not be on. so thanks magical for stating that staff will not always be on

 

I totally agree with this.
Something I want to point out, staff members have lives too.
They are like us with all the same stuff going on in real life (chores, school, homework, studying, etc etc etc.)
I'm guessing that some of them really want to be on the server as much as we do but real life... man real life.
In my opinion, real life is more important than this server for me, and don't get me wrong I love this server, but real life needs its time as well as family and other things.
Sure we make mistakes and all, and yes some of us are very impatient, but just remember, real life before Minecraft in most cases.
We want to succeed in real life and our staff members have to as well.
I hope that the complaints at least lessen down and I hope that some of us understand.

Some players are too dumb to realise that staff members, are people like us, but have more rights than us in the community. Many players are like: "moderatorz are nut active omergawd demoted newb". Moderators are active, on certain times like summer, etc, etc, etc. They should read this thread and come to realise that.

 

We're also casual players like you guys, it's not fun when people complain and yell at us >.> Making the server community bad for both players and staff members

Wayyyy too many people complain about this. Mc isn't life. Mc is a game. Staff aren't things programmed into the server to always be on. Staff are people too. When will these ranters realize? They have a lot more things to do than play Mc. Stuff like family, friends, etc. I can't believe someone didn't make a post about this sooner. Seriously.

People shouldn't need to complain in the first place. That's why the forums was made so people wouldn't need mods on the server.
Now, off server. In a prediction i think about 76% of the time at least 1 mod is on the forums so if your saying 76% is still inactive then you are just impatient just like the people on the server who are complaining:3

How would you feel if we complained to you because you weren't on forums for a while? Same thing.

 

I agree entirely. I wish people realized that MC is a freaking game, not a way of life. That's why I don't play it too much anymore, because I have better things to do with my time.

 

Agree, some of my friends complain that i'm not online alot (I'm not a mod or anything). But thye do realise i have a LIFE...

Exactly. I mean, I know that I'm not a Mod but honestly, it bugs me so much when people complain about staff not being on 24/7. It's funny, they complain how the staff can't be on all the time, when I haven't even heard of their name or who they are.... And also, they have to know how to report people by themselves! (Sorry if it sounds pushy or rude, but this is a major pet peeve of mine.)

 

Don't just explain and expect everyone to understand. It's not the players that are responsible for the lack of active staff. But the players are the ones who are effected by not enough mods. It is the servers responsibility to at least TRY cover 24hr or all popular times zones. Rather than just throw in reasons, be more of a DOer instead of SAYer.

I didn't meant to point this at you. In fact you are the moderator that I saw online the most. Maybe it's just my Australian time zone that made me see you often. But at least I do have a good impression on you :)Most of all you used to have Asuna as your profile picture and Asuna is one of my favourite anime character :)

 

Honestly, It's useless for us to complain. The people who do complain about mods are just arrogant and hypocrites. They don't go on 24/7, yet they expect mods to. They are also not willing to expect the truth. The best thing we can do is ignore them so they don't spite us.

I totally agree with this post and comments. What's complaining gonna do? Make it worse? I expect so. Think about you, how would you like it to be glued to a screen 24/7 because of a video game?? Some of the ItsJerryAndHarry server community should think about the server positively, about how much time and effort Jerry, Harry, The Mods & Admins put into the server to make it a happy and welcoming place for new people and everyone really. Just because the Mods are on less doesn't mean you should say something like "The mods are such Lazy fucks etc etc."
I don't want to sound rude or anything but just think twice before you say or do something.
