The knife was inside her hand, his tip appeared in Luna's other side of the hand. The pain must've was unbearable, Luna just passed out. We all ran towards her. Anrade pulled the knife out of her hand while Kate and Mizuki tried to bring her back to conscious. Everyone kneed down next to Luna while I went to the bush to check who's there. "Show yourself!" I shouted and the bush moved a little bit. A boy that seemed our age walked out of the bush, his entire skin was covered in cuts, probably because of hiding in that spiky bush for hours. The boy stood up. A quiet squeal escaped his mouth as he felt the cuts on his skin. I punched his shoulder and he fell to the ground. He looked up at me, his eyes looked like he was begging for mercy. I clenched my fist, ready to punch him again, but Anrade grabbed my hand and stopped me. "What are you doing? He almost killed Luna! he needs to die!" Anrade shook his head. "No," he said and I looked at him confused. "Me and Luna saw him in the therapy group" therapy group? They didn't told us about a therapy group. "I think we should let him explain a bit" he said and glared at the boy. I didn't even notice the sky were dark by now. "We should go home, let's take him with us" I started walking towards the gate but someone grabbed my leg. I looked down and saw the boy, laying on the ground and stopping me from walking. "No, you can't" he said with tears in his eyes. I narrowed my eyes at him. "What do you mean, I can't?" He coughed. "You can't escape this place, once you stepped in, you're stuck in here" I was terrified but I tried to hide it, was that a prank or something? Anrade used his matches and a few coal pieces we found in that huge dead field to set up a small fire. The girls grabbed Luna and walked towards us and I took care of the boy's cuts with the small first aid kit I keep in my bag. I had some bad health experiences before so I just started keeping a first aid kit in my bag. The entire place looked like an endless empty field. The ground had some stones and bushes here and there but it was mainly dry ground. The gate was a few meters away from us but we couldn't open it. The hedge was so long, we couldn't see the end of it. The boy started talking after we were all settled. "My name is Shadow, I'm 16 years old. I was in your guys' school" Anrade nodded. "I accidently killed my cousin, and ever since then I started hearing voices. Voices that told me that he's going to come back from the grave and hunt me" his lower jaw started shaking. "Today in school I heard so many voices, it drove me crazy, so I just ran without knowing where I'm running to. I just wanted to run away from the voices..." me and Anrade looked at each other and then back at him. "I ran in here... from the outside it looked like a safe garden but after I got in I couldn't get out" I felt like screaming, so we're stuck in here?! Shadow's POV After I told them the story I felt slight relief, like I don't have to be alone in this mess now. I felt bad for them, especially for that girl, Luna. I should've warned them before they got in. I heard the voices but I was so scared I did anything to protect myself. So I ended up stabbing someone innocent... Luna was conscious for a few seconds, but she fell asleep almost immediately. It was super cold, and the fire wasn't big enough to give us some heat. So we divided into two groups- boys and girls. We were basically hugging each other so we can keep our warmth. Of course, the girls had no problem with that but Anrade and Dave hesitated a bit, but after a few moments they agreed. Everyone fell asleep, but I was still awake. I looked up, there weren't any stars in the sky. The moon was small and barely gave us any light. I just hope we'll survive... The horror stuff shall start soon <3
