stop playing violin i dont want people saying "omg its all up to you its a life decision we cant decide this for you" ....F**K YOU i want opinions. :> so heres the description Ever since school started my skills in violin have decreased INSANELY and my violin teacher got the courage to finally tell it to me today. I have went from improving like crazy, to just plain sounding like a 3 year old right now. The reason, is because I am too tired to play and I don't have time to practice. The reason, is because I have math tutors and school which all together last 12 hours and then after all of that, i dont have ANY energy at all. so um yeah. but i want to be able to play violin because i want to be able to make violin remixes of things, like the song "Animals" By Martin Garrix, which i'm already working on, but don't have the time to anymore. I know ican use programs to make violin remixes but they are stupid. I dont want to grow up to be this fat whore sitting on a computer all day just to make music. I dont want to be a human who can't contribute anything except art--which anyone can contribute---which also makes art kinda a useless contribution. i just dont want to be another human that has to use up resources to live i want to be worth something, make something special, something important like music trust me yall if you play an instrument and you go to a music place, you feel like you are special. you feel like you belong somewhere. you feel less useless and more like you are actually smarter than all of those fatass idiots sitting on the computer all day making "music" with ear rape techno. you actually do something with your life. you actually have an ABILITY or SKILL at something....the computers are the ones really making the music, in the games.. anyways i love violin, but i dont have the energy for it. so im thinking of either going to bed EXTREMELY early - basically right after school so that i can wake up early, play violin, do chores and go to school. or just not play at all, and enhance my abilities on art, fps shooters, video games, animation.....which also is what the computer does all for you...you dont really need ANY skill in that....pfff... so um help me decide pls i mean i love my gaming life which contributes to using up energy and killing multiple animals irl because of all the factories and batteries, machines that go into making computers..but i could also get a skill irl, at the cost of being able to use my computer AT ALL, whichj leads to me almost never using the computer.
Lidia, reality is a hell lot more important than the online realm. Being able to play the violin is a great skill to have. Even if you are starting to decrease immensely in terms of skill with the violin, it doesn't mean it cannot be regained over time. Music is one of the greatest things in the world (In my honest opinion at least. It's what I live for.). Don't quit because of these extracurricular activities, unless you feel like it will cause you an amount of stress to the point of insanity (Real insanity, not the 'I think I'm insane thing,' I mean like mentally insane.). The violin is a great instrument. Any orchestral instrument is a great thing to be able to play. I know you don't want us to say 'It's your choice,' so I am not going to. However, I will say this. Only continue to play the violin, if you truly desire to play music of your choice, whether it be remixes, classical pieces, rock, jazz, or whatnot. If I were in your shoes, I would continue to play because I am in a similar position as you. I have millions of extracurricular activities before and after school and on the weekends. Archery, extra educational lessons, piano lessons, -------County Youth Orchestra, Advanced School Orchestra, Chess lessons, etc. but I still have the desire to continue playing my orchestral instrument; the viola, because I value music almost as much as I do my life. Simply put, do not quit playing the violin, until you feel like you will go *Literally* mentally insane. Even if you cannot keep in contact with us anymore, it's not as important. Sometimes, music can get you far in life. That is what I believe.
I would just do it as a hobby, which us what I will be doing past high school, just personal stress relief, or covering sings, and possibly recording them
yes, continue to play. Only about 33% of people can play an instrument, and 99% of americans don't. Music is a very good thing to have. It looks good on a college application, as well as staff applications. And some brain skills are increased as well. Continue. You wont regret it.
omg its all up to you its a life decision we cant decide this for you F**K YOU too. Anyways, continue. It's a good skill.
It's your choice, but you might regret it later. If you are a true violinist, as Beethoven once said, you must not give up on music. Also, real life is more important than killing a zombie online. Once you grow up, you'll understand.
