Maia was walking down the hall and went to the locker with her friends. "Nice dress." Maia said to Angeline, her friend.

"Thanks! Your jacket is more than pretty, though." Angeline said with her backstabbing smile. Maia saw it before.

Katie, Maia's other friend, said, "Yes, the flowers... hearts... currently touching..."

"I'll... be in the restroom..." Maia said walking away and then running away.

She ran into the stall in fear. What were her friends doing? But Maia knew not to be a baby and sit crying about some backstabbing friends.

She ran out of the stall and slammed the door to the restroom. She stomped up to her friends and yelled,
"Katie. Angeline. I will not take it anymo---"
"What's wrong?" Katie asked innocently.

"You are LYING!!!!" Maia yelled.

"Pfff! No were not!" Katie yelled.

Angeline hardly tapped Katie and Angeline said innocently, "I'm hurt that you think I'd lie to you."
"Really?" Maia said.

"Yeah..." Angeline said in hurt.
"I'm sorry..." Maia said. "I should have understood you..."

Maia heard the bell and went to class.
She heard giggles and whispering from Katie and Angeline.
I still don't believe them... Maia thought.

She ran to class in disbelief.
She knew they were backstabbing friends and she would have to find the secrets.
