Rule Update- Advertising

Hello,this is another rule update thread so be sure to read it thoroughly.

Currently, advertisers are players who send a server ip in the chat. ( 123.126.0.191:1234). Players who witness advertisement usually report it on the forums. The new addition is that any player who says "Msg me for a server IP" or something related to that example now falls under advertising. If you see anyone who says this, just report them here on the forums using proper format and including screenshots as well.

But what if it's your friend and you want to go somewhere, and you need to tell them the IP. If you're telling your friend privately what server to go on, is that an issue?

 

Do it via /msg

 

That's what I meant. So it is okay to just msg your friend an IP if you are going to a server together, correct?

What about if they are doing something on the forums? And they back up ips (the number one)

 

what do you mean, back up ips?

 

There are some programs that allow you to switch IPs with others, or hide your own.

 

Not quite familiar with those. Just do it via /msg to be safe

What if you made a server and you wanted some people to join it for staff or just for playing from the server? Y'know, just friends and stuff like that. Can you do that via /msg? Or not?

Yea those ones are fine, but I recommend to use the actual ones ( oitc/ts) It makes it easier for us to know which server you're talking about
