If you check the "online" list, you can see different options. There's one part where you can see what "robots" are on. I don't quite get the "robot" thing, so... what are they? Are all of the robots just spambots, or are they people who did something to make them not a guest? There's robots from Google and Bing, pretty obvious that they're search engines. There's robots from Baidu, I know that that is the Chinese version of Google. But, there's one from "Proximic" and one from "Majestic-12." So, I did some research on Proximic and Majestic-12, this is what I found. According to Wikipedia, Majestic 12 is a code name of scientists involved in flying saucer sightings in the 40s I'm guessing that some scientist from the 40s isn't using a bot on the forums, so that one's confusing. Proximic is essentially a spambot service, so that spambot is probably signing in. But the thing is, all the robots are looking at normal threads. One of them was looking at a ban appeal, one was looking at a Hellotoyou thread, the rest are just sitting there. So, can anyone explain these "robots?"
Yep. The search engines need to constantly find new pages to update to their browsers. It's important that they stay up to date, you know? The search engine robots are called "crawlers". Crawlers go around and find every page that they can on websites. Then they add it to the search engine. So that's part of the way they get new pages, pretty interesting, huh :P Of course, I have no idea what the spambot thing is doing there XD
Well, that explains Google, Bing and Baidu. I'm guessing that the Proximic robot is just looking for another place to spam for advertisements. Now I need to figure out what this "Majestic-12" thing is... HARRY TRUMAN HAS COME BACK TO LIFE! THAT'S TOTALLY IT! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majestic_12
Yes, and he's been right in front of us the whole time... See it? More? *heavy* how could this happen?
