I would like to address an issue to the J&H forums. Lately, people have been reviving threads from weeks ago. Even threads from a month ago! This ticks off me and others. What makes a thread old? If nobody replies to it for about week, then it's considered "old". Correct me if i'm wrong. Threads that have been "revived" are mostly found in Forum Games. Here are some examples: Create your own story by ItsJerry: http://itsjerryandharry.com/index.php?threads/create-your-own-story.34/ See page 11 World of Tanks by Hubble: http://itsjerryandharry.com/index.php?threads/world-of-tanks-d.69/#post-41062 Hello my name is Hai by WhatTheHai: http://itsjerryandharry.com/index.php?threads/hello-my-name-is-hai.37/ I am really pissed off by ItsSol: http://itsjerryandharry.com/index.php?threads/i-am-really-pissed-of.2477/ As you look through these threads, please take a look at the post date at the bottom of messages. This will tell that thread was revived. (U DON'T SAY?) I just wanted to address the issue to the community. Thank you :3 As a side-note, please don't start a flame war over this issue. I've seen threads like this turn into flame wars. I would just like to prevent it from happening here. :) -Winx
TBH, my definition of "Old" is 3-4 days. The only problem, as Dao has stated before, J&H don't want us to think of the mods as police. They don't want so many rules. Though I have mixed feeling about less rules, mods are police. Thats why they're here, its their jobs to moderate (Funny how "Mods" is an abbreviation for "Moderators"). What are we supposed to do without them? The forums would be chaos. That's why they're here, to prevent chaos.
Not only those threads winx, but even more d: And like pyro said, yeah it would be chaos here and we really need to stop this :L
I say how a thread 10 days, then it's "old" But, it's also not good for people who made mod applications early. ;-; barely anybody commented on mine.
You're only listing a few, I can definitely find more, not from forum games. @ what pyro said, Agreed, that is the actual point of moderators. They moderate rule offenders, and thread revivers. I'm pretty sure the 'police' reference was to say that they didn't want the mods to enforce rules too strictly... and I do understand that point as it would spoil the fun.
There should be a thing where if your thread has been un-replied from 10-15 days, it should automatically lock. So no more reviving. :) Plus you can still read it, and it would avoid short messages being posted on mod apps *cough gl person <3 lel cough*
