Revamp: Is it really coming? If so, how close is it?

Hello, and I am declaring an open discussion on a server revamp. Life is all about changes, Infact, you'll never see the morning you woke up today again. You'll see similar ones, but you'll never see the morning of 12.19.2013
Changes are categorized by severity, From edits to revamps.

Enough with that, this thread isn't about that. Anywho, I have heard many rumors of Dao confirming a huge server revamp, which makes a lot of sense as Jerry and Harry haven't made many videos for a while, they say that they are 'busy with something more important' and how the server hasn't really been under good control. So this leaves the questions:

Is a revamp really happening?

Will it stop all the clubs, advertisers, hackers, ect.?

How close is it coming?

Will the revamp bring survival back, and some new minigames?

My answers:

1) We can't truly be sure until an administrator confins this him/herself in the discussion.

2) With estimates in relation to holiday events, it would make sense to revamp on Christmas/New Years Eve, which is my guess.

3) I think that a revamp won't take all of this out. We, as a democratic-like community, should decide this in proper discussions.

4) We can only hope that this will happen, although it is extremely likely!

Well, past revamps here usually are a small part, but the only server revamp we had was so extreme, people left(As I look back, they were most likely jealous). This being said, it is most likely going to change the server, extremely.

 

Well the only games/lobbys they haven't changed are...none actually besides spawn

 

Actually, there was the SG, OITC, and BuildIt Revamps, as classified below:

Revamp - give new and improved form, structure, or appearance to.

They might. Hai already confirmed they were working on a new minigame. And plus, other staff members have seemed to hint at it as well...
The point is, though... We won't know for sure till it happens. They likely wouldn't tell us, understandably, so tht rage could be prevented.
But all in all?
I don't know when, but I do think that they are doing one.

 

Most of the people left because they lost everything on survival. This time, however, survival is already down.


Anyways, separate to that reply, this would make sense. I mean, just the fact they haven't made anyone mods yet (with 450+ apps) makes me think that if they do the revamp, they'll start making new mods. I hope they revamp, I'd love to get back on the server again.

 

Oh yes, I forgot to mention something.
Minigames? Sure, they could add those.
Survival? No, they most definitely wouldn't. They don't know how to fix it, and I don't think it can be fixed at this point.
So before people start rumors like last time, don't assume survival will be back until you see it with your own eyes.

 

If there doing a revamp please make sure that Veteran stays! :D

Why would you want veteran to stay? You aren't a veteran. I've never seen you on the server at all. It's not possible to get Veteran anymore anyway.

 

Right now seems a good time for a revamp, and I see one coming in the future. Of course, not sure about the survival part, but we can only hope.

Just a question:

Why can't they just make a new survival server? If the old stuff is already corrupted, why can't they make a new one? It doesn't seem that hard.

 

Good question. We'll leave it to J&H to answer that one.

 

I think if J&H were to revamp the server, they should do it on Christmas Eve so players will log onto the server on Christmas Day and see a revamped server for christmas. J&H partially did this already but I think they should make the server more christmasy.

 

Ofc the revamp is happening, Dao said it himself. The only problem is when I gave this news, I said "Dao said there is going to be a revamp, but I have no idea if it is going to be a full one, as he said he doesn't know the full details". This somehow got jumbled into "There is going to be full revamp and survival will be coming back because of it". Thats not what I said...

 

You guys probably know about this but the only thing he's told me is that the staff system is changing. If you read what Harry wrote in some other thread, ( Will find link and edit in this post) He's working on some minigame. No details though
