Your username: spencerulz In which minigame/server does the bug occur: all of them Detailed description of bug: Now I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it is pointless and annoying. My render distance is always set to 16 chunks. But for some stupid reason I can only see up to around 6 chunks. Now I don't want to hear people saying "Oh it's your computer" or "Maybe your minecraft is buggy" because it is certainly not. I only get this problem in this server. If this is not a bug, please take this restriction off. There is absolutely no reason for it at all.
It's not a bug, and it's there for a reason. The server's view distance is set to 6 to conserve RAM and CPU usage. Raising that number by one doesn't just load one more chunk, it loads a circle of chunks around the current circle of chunks, for every one of the server's 1000-2500 players. Along with increasing RAM usage by a large amount, it also increases CPU load, because the server has to do block physics, mob calculations, etc. for all of those extra chunks. So, it's better that the view distance is lower. Otherwise, there would likely be server-side lag, which nobody wants. :)
